Hoopsguys - FBG ventures into NBA DFS (1 Viewer)

scored 290+ missing cashline by 12+. Done in by Hernangomez and Harrell barely scoring 22 combined. Also didnt get the memo to play Burks(3.6k/53.9pts) who was 38 and 45% owned in my 50/50s. $4 in $0 out.

The team I posted made 275 and finished in the top 9k where 11k paid and top 7k where 8k paid. An iteration scored 289 and went 7-3 in 10 $10 h2hs. That's $126 back there. The gpps were $65 in and 32 back so, a $7 overall loser for a 40 team effort. I didn't get over to Fanduel and that's good cuz I woulda took a beatin' in the big gpp.

On a bright note, the over in Denver that seemed obvious hit so the 5Dimes account went up a unit less the vig.

8 games, tough for gpps, but not terrible. There's too many questionables to do anything this early but...

Kings at Chicago 195 total. Man, Sac can't score but Chicago is still playing at a fast pace the bookmakers seem to be overlooking (yeah right). I think it's a sensible over for 5Dimes and fade for DFS. 1 point spread is interesting too. I'd expect Chicago to cover a 5 pt spread. I'd rather give the pt than take the over but will likely do both. Maybe I should take this to the FFA gambling thread. ha

SA at Mem 191. Oof. Spurs by 4.5. Need to look at Memphis roster issues, but likely a complete fade for me. Then there were 6.

Hornets at  Heat -2.5 202. More Bam/Olynyk - prefer Kelly shooting at home. Kemba's status in question. Not excited about this one.

Pels -2.5 @ road weary Utah 205.5. I like the studs in NO but not feeling the value elsewhere. There must be better options.

Detroit -1.5 at Washington 206 total. Good game here. Wall out. Avery on Beal. Satoransky keeps outplaying Frazier and could hit a nice value at home. Tobias is in a groove. Oubre/Morris possible values at home w/no Wall. Drummond = beast. 

TWolves at OKC -5.5 and 209.5. Difficult to pick from the many choices. It becomes a matter of cap space if not a fade. Should be a good one with lots of starter minutes. Really need Teague information because Tyus is my guy without him. 

Pacers at Raptors -7.5 and 217.5. I love Sabonis if Turner sits, like him regardless. Lowry DeRozen Oladipo expensive and chalky.

Warriors -10.5 at Magic 227. Love the total hate the blow out potential. GS did go to OT against the Lakers last time out, so maybe these road games will be competitive. Rumors of Durant Thompson and Curry resting minor injuries.

This slate is bigger trap than most. Glad I have other commitments today. Purchased for a $1:

I was planning on taking tonight off in DFS due to being busy and rushing around. Throw in the lineup chaos and I'm definitely out today.

Nothing on Teague before the lock. I made a couple Tyus teams just in case but sure miss the late swap idea. With a couple exceptions I built around that team above. Here's hoping. Good luck you two.

Well it did okay for me (263). Easily cashed in the big $25 double up. Made top 11k where 14.9k paid in the $3 gpp. 11 related lineups did better. $60 in and $57 back, oh well. The Kings/Bulls pushed on the spread but easily hit the over, so that's a few bucks. Eh, it's entertaining to say the least. As soon as a couple of the morning stream of consciousness comments bomb, I'll stop. 

HS Alma Mater lost in the state championship football game tonight. I put state in italics because CA is broken down by divisions and sections and this was smallish division in a huge section; but still, the last possible game they could play. 24-6, never really a contest. Bah.

 
5 game main slates at both sites. I started last night with insomnia issues so I may experiment with a 60 lineup effort (20 by 3 different 20 team max gpps - $.25, $1, $3 for $85 in). I made 20 quarter teams last night I can tweak for the other contests. So, I'm looking/hoping for A lineup that pays. I'm consistently in the money lately but would be better off in cash games because I'm just sneaking over the pay lines with the core group and not getting there enough with alternate LUs.

Cleveland -12 and 206 at home with Memphis. Philly -5 and 213 at home v Detroit. Mil -12.5 and 199 at home v Sac. Den -4.5 and 222 v Lakers in Denver. Blazers -7 209 at home v NO. 

Two very likely blowouts but not enough games to flat fade anything. Tightest spread and biggest total is in Denver; that's my focus. I think Sac and Milwaukee will go over the total, but not committed to it yet. 

I made the core from games in Den and Phi. I wanted Embiid and Drummond on the team. So alternating them as I built freed up cap space. Jokic and Milsap out... too bad for Denver but kinda nice for us.

Clarkson, Barton, Nance, Faried, Embiid, Bayless, Ingram, Drummond

Clarkson is a regular play for me when the Lakers hit the road (but some KCP and very little Ball are likely). Outside shooters start struggling, but Clarkson seems to step up. Barton should be money with the injuries (so should Murray), in 22 minutes Nance posted 22.5 fantasy pts in his return without scoring (plenty of Randle in the alternates), Faried will get minutes and could have his best game of the season (Plumlee firmly in the mix here). Guessing Kuzma is out. McConnell out so here's a spot for Bayless, Ingram off the best effort of his career... and da Bigs. While I didn't do it above, I want a piece of the late game too and have done so in most LUs... lots of Lillard and/or McCollum with only 1 of the two Bigs. Brow out, so some Boogie and some Holiday.

Spurs roster being Popped today. No Aldridge Gay or Parker. The game is in OKC (-8 and 197). For me the coaching move makes up for the low total and I'll be seeking value from that lineup. 

Warriors at full enough strength pillaging and plundering on the road. Game is in Miami (+10.5 221). Nice total, unfriendly spread, 4 game slate. Gimme some. Hassan still out but I'm thinking small ball not Bam.

Clippers at half strength being pillaged and plundered on the road. Game is in Minnesota (-12 213). This goes one of two ways. Clips nut up with some pride and probably lose badly but starters have value on both sides. Clips get worked early and ugh. I'm thinking the latter, but four game slate.

Rockets rested traveling to play a tired Laker team. Skews home court advantage. Rockets favored (-12.5 big total 224.5). Hope the Lakers who took GS to OT show. I think this game needs to be featured for DFS today. No doubt big winners will run up the leaderboard late. 

I made a team with Harden George and Durant taking advantage of Spurs Clippers potential value. Don't try this at home. Good luck guys. Happy Sunday. Traditionally I do better on NFL Sundays so...

 
Tough weekend. For my efforts I'm $20.75 lighter at DK and more than covering that at 5Dimes, hitting a couple more plays against totals. I made this placeholder overnight.

Mitchell (I have a crush)

Oladipo (40+ per game on the season)

DBooker (high total high usage)

O'Quinn (No Porzingis, underrated stat maker)

Plumlee (No Jokic and cap relief)

Dinwiddie (last pick zeroed cap, plenty of options)

Warren (back to the pho@phi game and another high use guy)

Belinelli (sparattuto in casa sua)

It's a start, but with 11 games on the slate I'm not messing with multi-entries. Maybe three cash teams, probably 2, could even settle on one. First slate of the season I'll treat this way.

Is Livingston gonna get enough run w/ Curry and McCaw out? $4300 salary on FD. I'm assuming figuring out how to cram KD into lineups will be common. Problem is, I love Boogie tonight too.

 
If I go w/ Livingston I can get this:

Livingston/Rondo

Dotson/Holliday

Iggy/Lebron

Taj/ZBo

Boogie

Could turn Lebron into KD, then upgrade Dotson to Bazemore or Livingston to Rivers/Teague.

He was a late bump from the starting lineup. Tough beat. 

More than $1000/point for Smart tho. On a night like tonight, 1 land mine is all she wrote. I'm sitting at 280 w/ $12,400 in salary to go (Doc's Kid and Teague) and I won't sniff cashing even if they go off.

Cash LU goes for 342 and earns me ZERO, cash game cash lines were significantly higher than GPP cash lines last night

10-man league it got me 3rd place -- 382 and 381 were ahead.

347 was the double up cutoff.

359 was the triple up cutoff.

333 was the $300K GPP cutoff.

I put in $10 and got back $28,

I usually just play the smaller slates, because I do not have time to research the larger slates.

I did well in the 'late night' slate too.  I got to 310pts.  I put in $17 and got back $33.

Yeah, chalk hit big. I hit 348.7 w/ my cash. Caught all my 50/50 and some of my doubles. Whiffed on triples and leagues. Min-cashed most of my GPP action. When the dust settled I lost $0.80. Given that I was 440-465 out of 538 when the Minn game tipped, I'll take it gladly. 

 
8 in and 12 out on the main slate with 317.  Embid, Morris, and LeVert led that team. 8 in and 15 out on the late night slate.  LeVert was key on this team. I also used Felton and he was low owned for 5x value. 

 
My cash hit 290 and raked. My lone GPP lineup hit 296 and min-cashed. Good night but it was an ugly journey. LaVar's kid helped cover-up some questionable calls on my part.

 
I did not even consider Ball, because he is so inconsistent.  Anyone know how Simmons did?  I wanted to use him, but I used Embid instead.

He was horribly embarrassed against them last time they payed. I figured he would be focused. Didn't see a monster though. 

 
8 in and 17 out. 343pts. Won both head to heads and got a little back in the big GPP. Had a couple guys get to 7x value: A Dunn & M Williams. 

 
Out for the next few days as I won't be around for lineup lock or able to do much research.

Unrelated but still kinda cool tho I found out after the fact, the GS Warriors used our court for practice on Thursday for their Fri game vs the Pistons.

 
My base model is currently:

Murray/Harrison

Harden/Middleton

Gay/Covington

Marvin/Aldridge

Vuc

Harrison is probably a bad choice but I've talked myself into thinking the Grizz have a good showing tonight.
