Hoopsguys - FBG ventures into NBA DFS (1 Viewer)

Looking at tonight now. Lots of high totals. I'm currently looking at a lot of Wizards. I feel like I should have some of the Cle-Brn and Hou-Phi games but pricing feels a bit aggressive there

 
Just wrapping my head around this slate. At first glance the full ten gamer feels like a trap for gpps, so I'd favor a solid cash lineup if I could settle on one. FD has two interesting smaller slates (3 and 4 games). It's the second time I've preferred the offerings at FD so I guess I need to deposit a little there. The late swap I like is limited at both sites now. Took last night off from dfs but I'm recovering from World Series opening night in LA. I watched the game from Staples while the Clips beat Utah, then hung out downtown with revelers a little late into the night... er morn.

Very nice. I'm pulling for the Stros but a very crisp well-played game at least. 

 
This is where I am for cash but I don't have a super warm fuzzy feeling. As noted above I feel like I should have some of Cle-Bkn and Hou-Philly. 

Wall/Murray -- not sure about Murray, but I actively dislike everyone else at that price point. I'm implementing my "I'm starting every elite PG who faces Lonzo" strategy. 

Dipo/Beal -- Feels like I may be chasing points w/ Dipo, but he's finally getting a chance at some major useage. 

Oubre/Tobias -- Because I want all the Wizards. Tobias's useage has been great thus far. I know he had a turd last time out, but I'm thinking that was a blip. 

Kuzma/Sabonas -- Meh. Might be chasing a bit w/ Sabonas but if he's going to keep getting 25-28 minutes and be priced under $5k I'm going to keep playing him. 

Gortat --ALL the Wizards. 

 
I feel like Lebron could have massive useage again given the complete lack of PG alternatives. But I could see agent Lebron calling GM Lebron and having him tell coach Lebron to lighten player Lebron's minutes on the back side of a B2B. 

 
5 games. I used to love this size slate. Clips at Blazers has the best total, but I feel lost today. I "guess" studs and duds makes some sense because a short list of high cost players is all I trust. I made this as a starter.

I've kind of felt lost this season. I was trying to be too precise to start the year -- 1 lineup only. I've started to feel comfortable enough to put some more in play and vary things a bit the past few nights. My core last night blew chunks but I had several GPPs with limited/no exposure to Wash-LAL so I ended up only losing a bit. 

I can never figure Portland out. I'm always quicker than I should be to discount their value. I think it's because I literally never watch them play at all.

I see Portland all the time. I like Aminu tonight. LAC can be atrocious rebounding and Ed Davis has piled up boards against them before. That FD lineup from earlier is not something I'm replicating at DK. I put it in the free roll and moved back to DK. My core group is Beverley, McCollum, Aminu... Giannis/Boogie. Celtics have the third lowest implied total so I'm fading along with Dallas and Atlanta. My lineups are all over the place after fading those teams though.

I'm struggling to get a cash lineup I like w/ both Greek and Boogie. I can do it but I have to really squint to make it look not disasterous. This is what I have and why:

Fox/Beverly -- I'm ok w/ this combo. 

Valentine/McCollum -- I'm kind of ok w/ this combo actually. It requires a bit of a leap of faith on Valentine but Chaos didn't dismiss him out of hand so I've got that going for me. 

Greek/Cunningham -- Cunningham is just salary help. Consistent mid-20's in minutes but his trajectory in production (inasmuch as you can have one in 4 games is less than ideal. 

Amiinu/Theis -- Theis is starting and did ok in 20 minutes last time out. Squinting even harder here. 

Boogie

downgrading Boogie would sure help me.

Ennis and Davis were duds but only missed cash line by 6. Greek and Cousins both over 60% owned in my gpp and I faded them both so missed that line by 30+. $3 in $0 out.

 
Any of you guys run your own optimizer? Ive got one that I made, not by me, got it off the web (rotogrinders i believe) have one for draftkings and fanduel, didn't mess with fanduel basketball at all last year, and this year im in a friends 10 team league every Wednesday and Friday! Ran the optimizer yesterday and got this error and was wondering if any of you gurus could help!! It is in google, and ran on opensolver

I've only just started ramping up my level of play. Still not running a full unit out yet. When I have a few minutes I'll pull what limited data I have. I play a volume of $2 doubles and 50/50, some $2 triples (with my cash lineup(s)), and some $1 100/20/GPP.

FWIW cut lines vary wildly based on slates and high-ownership guys. Couple nights ago there were land mines everywhere so 280 looked good. Other nights 320 won't win you anything.

This one (315.7) raked including triples. Theis foul trouble kept me from making real money with it in the Swat tho. Everything else I ran out sucked. 0.2 units in, 0.37 units out. 

 
$60 into one $3 gpp and $24 back. $158 into h2hs and $60 back. I made some good calls, some bad calls and it was a loser. I made this placeholder last night.

Kemba, Ingram, Durant, RAnderson, Capela, Clarkson, Barton, Fournier. There's a lot of wiggle room with balanced lineups but at first glance I'm not seeing any low dollar values allowing high dollar players. Just poured the coffee. Digging in.

 
Warriors again with the highest implied total...then the Knicks. Porzingis probably faded tonight by most given his recent play, but I'm using him. I think he has monster nights coming and why not against Brooklyn in a game with so much likely pace. Raptors/Lakers Thunder/TWolves also nice high totals and reasonable spreads. There's some focus. It wipes out my placeholder for the most part, but I like it.

Lowry/Murray -- I like the likely pace of the Tor @ LAL game.  No in love with the Den @ Atl game, but Murray seems like a reasonable cheap play here.

D. Green/Beal -- Green is probably just me chasing points, but his usage has been consistently (to the extent there can be "consistency" this early in the season) high.  I don't think GS is about to suddenly start playing defense.

Ingram/Carroll -- Whole lotta "meh" here.

Otto/Porzingis -- I agree with Chaos, last game was an aberration for Porzingis.  See SG comment above.

Gortat -- This is probably a bad call.  I like Gortat a lot and if he gets minutes I think he'll return nicely on $6000.00.  The issue is whether GS forces Washington to go small for lengthy stretches.

Decent night $8 in, $18.60 out.  Just did one LU and entered in a 100man and gpp.   Up about $30 on the week, which I will probably be down on Sunday with my recent run in football.

Well that sucked. I min-cashed a few GPPs to keep it from being a total pasting. 0.3 credits in, 0.08 credits out. 

 
Grabbed some placeholders Friday night then completely forgot about them Saturday. Sucks. Gave away a chunk of the week's profits. Didn't play yesterday except a couple my kids picked. Back to it today.

Ugh. Lots of panic-moves late in my GPP's. That always ends well. No saric in cash but have him in a lot of GPP plays. I couldn't figure out where to use the savings and not destroy my core.

Aldridge has a low total but I still cling to the belief that Boston sucks against active big men. I think Jokic is going on a tear. Bayless is maybe a reach. Evans is just a bit of (extended) homerism. 

 
why did i switch to aaron gordon last minute again???

suprised i didnt see much hype about dejounte murray anywhere today.  thrilled to have him at 3% owned.  do need him to actually do something now though.

I've run out Murray some in the past to no avail. I've about decided the non-Leonard Spurs are all dead to me. 

 
Decent night.  Main LU at 316.  $7 in, $17 out.   Entered in 2 2x, a triple double, and gpp.   Will take tomorrow off for Trick or Treating.

Cash lineup missed cut by 26+(265.8) Should have played Brow over Durant.

Freeroll lineup rocked scoring 362.6. Finished 15/278177 and good for a copy of NBA2K 18 and 100,000 NBA panini dunk coins- whatever those are. Also had it in a qualifier for .25 and won a $7 ticket. Only 12.2 points from the 4 day trip to London.
