This. Absolutely iconic.I'd say Iconic, but I know I'm saying that because of my knowledge of the movie as a whole. I don't know what my initial reaction was when I first saw the movie. Anything that reminds me of Hoosiers is automatically iconic.
i’ve mentioned this before, but barbara hershey essentially wrecked arguably the greatest film basketball and baseball players of all time? chitwood and hobbs.
I have a similar story. Went to a small school in rural Indiana. We didn’t win the state championship but did advance to the semi-state and played it at Butler/Hinkle Fieldhouse.being from a small town in Indiana that actually won the state championship (1984)when everyone was still one division...it's pretty great and will always be a special film.

So yeah the opening credits and lots of other parts of the movie are great to me.
Brown County High School in Nashville Indiana. Had to beat some “big” city teams from Columbus and Bloomington to get to Hinkle. Lost to an Indianapolis team in the morning game of the semi-state.Which high school?I have a similar story. Went to a small school in rural Indiana.
