Houston Texans Defense (1 Viewer)

The Houston Texans defense has looked lights out this year, with a shift to a 3-4, the return of key players from injuries, and the addition of two quality players in the secondary (Joseph and Manning) remaking what was the 30th ranked defense last year. The only apparent potential weakness is their run defense. Still, with an explosive offense and a decent schedule even before Peyton Manning's difficulties, are the Texans the emerging shark sleeper defense?

I still think they have problems in pass coverage.
I have to think they will be better with the addition of Jonathan Joseph.
Better, yes, but possibly still a problem. You still have the likes of Kareem Jackson, Jason Allen, Brandon Harris or others who are likely to be the 2nd and 3rd cornerbacks. They are going to get picked on a lot.It may come down to whether the pass rush is good enough to help cover up the inadequacy there. So I think run defense and secondary are both still question marks until they prove otherwise in the regular season. Though secondary not as big of a question mark as it was last year when they were historically bad against the pass.

Manning out for at least one of their meetings. 2 games against Luke McNown/Blaine Gabbert. Two games against Hasselbeck/Locker. A game against Chad Henne. And fantasy playoff games against Andy Dalton and Cam Newton.

I'm liking the Houston defense for fantasy purposes more and more all the time.
