how clean is your car? (1 Viewer)

It gets a little dirty now that winter is here and I don't go to the car wash until spring but it's generally spotless inside and out. No garbage inside except for some parking meter receipts in the cup holder until I get around to throwing them out.

Immaculate inside & out. I hate the smell that older cars get inside when the person is a slob. Makes me gag.

Pretty nasty.    Its gotten to a place from the kids, dogs and home improvement that there's no coming back from so I really don't bother.  For at least 6 months of the year, there's a bike and a basket full of bike clothes inside of it which doesn't help.

Sort of to pretty. The outside is always dirtier than the inside...Im due to have the interior detailed/cleaned.

2006 4Runner, BTW

Completely clutter free - probably vacuumed and wiped down once every 4-6 weeks.

Filthy. Inside and out. Both of them.

I've haven't washed the outside of a vehicle in about 15 years. The car and the van both have the clear coat peeling off like a horrible sunburn. The car even currently has the front bumper held on by duct tape and zip ties. I'm considering ripping the entire bumper off (the rest of the way), but I'm trying to make sure it'll still pass inspection if I do.

For the inside, the van mostly just looks filthy because it's full of tools. Fair amount of paperwork though. A little bit of trash. It can actually be cleaned out pretty quickly if I need to load up the dog and other #### though. The car isn't too bad, though it does have some paperwork crammed in the crevices that I know is at least 12 years old. The car is mostly filthy from dog hair though. He's a Doberman with those short black hairs that stick to everything, especially fabric on the interior of that car. I actually have tried vacuuming it (about 3-4 years ago), but that's completely useless.

Don't you run a restaurant?

Is this another euphemism for my wife's "wallet"?

eta- if so, it's pretty clean, inside and out. But, if it's actually about my car, then kinda dirty inside and out.

Inside or out?  Inside is always very clean.  I hate a dirty interior.  Outside tends to stay dirty this time of year as I can't keep up with all the salt, dirt, etc.

Mine is also "cleanish".. Inside is pretty clean.  I don't have garbage on the floor or anything like that.  Floor mats are weathertech, so cleaning them is pretty easy, just hose em off.  But it is December here.  Covered in salt on the outside and the floor mats have salt on them from shoes.  I need to run it through the car wash now that it has warmed up a bit.

The inside of my truck is clutter free but does have some dirt on the floor.  I hate clutter.  The outside was washed once this year.  It is a truck.  It does not have to look pretty.

3 seasons the outside is washed about every 2 weeks. In the winter, I get discouraged and just say F IT for longer stretches. I never let the inside get cluttered with things. It's not a trash can or storage compartment. Although in the winter, it can get a little dirty as I'm just not cleaning the interior when it's 10 degrees outside.

Totally destroyed thanks to 5 yo twins I take to school everyday for the last 2+ years. The back seat has so many juice and food spills on it I'm honestly surprised something isn't growing on it (or in it) by now.  When this car goes, I'll be lucky to get a couple hundred from the junk yard.

My car is always spotless inside and clean outside as much as possible. Hate a dirty car.  My wife's car is clean inside but I am pretty sure she has never driven her vehicle through a car wash ever in her life, or even thought about getting the oil changed. Unless I took it once in awhile the exterior would be filthy all the time.

#3 rule in dating:

Dirty car=dirty cooter

HTH
What are the first two?
1. Don't #### her sister until you know you want to break it off, then #### the sister as much as possible

2. If she protests you going out with your friends at all in the first few weeks, end it.  Then #### her sister as much as possible before you break up

3.  Dirty car=dirty cooter.  But maybe her sister's car is clean, so maybe go in that direction.

Clean. Some pine needle build up since I didn't clean it out in the fall, but otherwise clear. I'll never understand childless people who look like they live in their car. Boots, a weeks worth of clothes, a dozen empty Gatorade/water bottles, fast food bags, etc. I've seen this from some people and I avoid getting in their car as much as possible.

Not sure, for me it always has ended because of one of those three or I just moved away.
