How did McGahee look? (1 Viewer)

He looked very good IMO. Slippery, very quick, broke tackles and made the most out of nearly every run. NE controlled the clock in the 2nd half and Buff barely seemed to get the ball. He had an unreal 20 yard run on a dump off where he had 3 guys in the backfield, reversed the field and flew up the left side.

I believe he had 60 yards after his 1st drive to start the 3rd qtr which is what about he finished with. He went off the field to have his ankle taped in the 1st and A-Train busted a 20 yarder into the endzone. He also missed a crucial 4 and 1 in the 4th at the 6 yard line which would have been huge (not really his fault since he had a guy or two in backfield he had to dodge). Overall a good game IMO and what you can't see in the boxscore is how he looked running the ball. Even the announcers said that this was the closest he's looked to his days at Miami. He's gonna have a nice year IMO, especially if Losman can continue to mature and build off week 1.

ive seen the stats but i was just curious from someone who watched the game how he looked.
looked good, ran hard and looked extremely fast. If not for the bonehead mistakes made by the Bills, he would have had an even better day
He looked not too bad. The OL wasn't exactly opening any holes for him. He was successful when the ran counter and trap plays. Simple inside runs didn't have the same success as there were no holes open and he tried to take it outside, but again there was no running roome.NE really overplayed the run with 8-9 guys in the box.

He was quick and fast too. He seemed to have that burst, though he was tentative at times at the LOS.

Yeah, I saw that play on the highlights and it looked like he stretched and got the first down. I was actually impressed because I thought Willis made the play. Why didn't the Bills review it, was the spot correct?

because they were playing NE, and the refs play for NE. It was a travisty. Buffalo got called for holding and blocks in the back, while NE had only 1 penalty for 5 yds the whole freaking game.

Ya, on the slowmo his knee touched and it was the right call. He made plays like that all day, when nothing was there he'd get 3-4. That's what I was impressed with the most, the fact that he doesn't seem to need huge holes to get a few yards and can create on his own. He should feast against average/below average defenses.

It should also be noted that after the game McGahee admitted that he thought it was third down...Not sure what that means in the grand scheme of things but probably worth knowing.

I'm encouraged with what I'm reading here. NE's LB corp might leave a lot to be desired, but their D-line is among the best in football and it appears McGahee ran well against them.

McGahee is fast again. He looked much more explosive than I've seen him since he's been in the NFL. Very encouraging sign for the upcoming season if he can keep that up.

I think if he can run like he did, if Losman plays like he did yesterday and the defense plays solid they will be in most games.

yup, McGahee looked good. Decent power, excellent speed getting around the corner. IMO, McGahee will be fine.

A-train looked pretty good to though.

And, it may be worth noting that BUF's defense looked exceptional. Playing tough D and running the ball is the Bill's best chance for putting up "W"s.

It means that he's a typical former Miami Hurricane that can play football but can't count to 4. :D
