Hit on a lot of my gambles. Harvin, Spiller, Griffin, Luck, and Cobb were huge. Peterson was drafted around 15ish, that turned out to be a steal. Got made fun of for drafting the top three actual rookie selections, but they all paid off big time. Made several trades so a lot of these guys didn't play for me late in the year, but this is where I won the championship IMO.

1.05 in 12 team redraft

Calvin Johnson

Marshawn Lynch

Fred Jackson

Michael Vick

Darren Sproles

Eric Decker

CJ Spiller

Eli Manning

Anquan Boldin

Malcolm Floyd

Calvin Johnson and Marshawn was my best starting 2 picks in my 15 years of doing FF. Rocks all year long and matchup proof. The Buffalo RB situation hurt me a few times, my only losses were when I started FJax and he got hurt (CJ went off) or when I started CJ and he got hurt (FJax went off). When CJ got the job full time towards the playoffs I had a great starting two with him and Marshawn. My QB's sucked. Key to me winning was trading Vick straight up for Cam Newton mid year. I really thought I'd be riding Eli in the 2nd half with great matchups and the Giants typical December rise. But I would have been dead. Made some other trades to get Mike Williams TB (good) and Nicks (bad). I completely struck out with quarterbacks at the draft and still dominated, winning all 3 playoff games by 30-50 points. I also horded defenses the last 4-6 weeks, at some times rostering 3 with only 15 roster spots. Got great production playing the likes of the Broncos, Jets, Steelers. Other guys stuck with the defenses they had all year and sometimes got -2 points while I was getting 15-24. Huge difference in our league.

Not good, worst draft of my 5 years in the league. 12 team redraft, non-PPR, Yahoo standard except for 1pt/20 return yds.

1. (3) Ray Rice RB

2. (22) Andre Johnson WR

3. (27) Greg Jennings WR

4. (46) Darren Sproles RB

5. (51) Dez Bryant WR

6. (70) J. Finley TE

7. (75) Michael Vick QB

8. (94) Stevan Ridley RB

9. (99) Malcom Floyd WR

10. (118) S. Holmes WR

11. (123) C.J. Spiller RB

12. (142) Russell Wilson QB

13. (147) New England DEF

14. (166) Randy Bullock K

15. (171) Ryan Williams RB

Only the 4 players in bold were starting in my final game. After a 3-6 start, some decent ww pickups, Dez catching fire, and Spiller becoming the #1 RB let me win 7 straight to the championship.

1. (5) Tom Brady QB

2. (20) Darren Sproles RB

3. (29) Steven Jackson RB

4. (44) Brandon Lloyd WR

I posted this at the beginning of the year and left in my parentheticals. Rounds 8-16 were basically worthless, other than NYG DEF who I played all year until the last few weeks. Bryant did well enough til I dropped him at his bye.

1.8 Calvin Johnson

2.3 Graham (Gronk was still there, but I wanted Graham)

3.8 Fred Jackson (This was where things got interesting. I had Julio pretty much off my list because I wasn't picking him in the 2nd round but assumed he'd be gone by 3.8 and anyway, figured that I'd need an RB. However, there he was sitting out there. After my deliberation, I stuck with Jackson. Julio went with the next pick.)

4.3 Trent Richardson (Didn't really want him, but Turner went the pick before me. RB still on the board were Gore, Martin, Sproles, Bradshaw, Hillis, BJGE, and so on.)

5.8 Harvin (Colston went at 4.9 and Lloyd went at 5.5.)

6.3 Matt Ryan (Another interesting one. Again, no plans to draft Ryan, as I thought he'd go too high, but although Brown and BJGE were still on the board, Ryan seemed like the best value.)

7.8 Reggie Wayne (slight reach, but I really think that he can be good this year, and with more quality RB left, I decided to go for Wayne.)

8.3 Donald Brown ("Gamble" paid off and Brown is still there, though did I really just pick 2 Colts?)

9.8 Cedric Benson (Happy with the value.)

10.3 Malcolm Floyd

11.8 Pettigrew

12.3 Flacco

13.8 Nate Washington

14.3 Giants Def

15.8 Matt Bryant

16.3 Mendenhall

8 - Marshawn Lynch (keeper - massive hit)

9 - Robert Meacham (miss, traded as a throw in for the Vick/nicks trade above)

10 - Shane Vereen (miss)

11 - Randall Cobb (huge hit, but I traded him for Crabtree before he blew up)

12 - Kyle Rudolph (average)

13 - jacquizz Rodgers (decent hit for this draft spot)

Keeper 1: Chris Johnson (started in championship game)

Keeper 2: Peyton Manning (started in championship game)

Keeper 3: Denarius Moore (benched championship game. Only started one game all season. Had to keep 3 players, he was 3rd best available)

Draft:

1) Julio Jones (started championship game)

2) Willis McGahee (dropped after injury, replaced with Moreno off of waivers)

3) Aaron Hernandez (kept through injury, started championship game)

4) Mark Ingram (dropped early in the season)

5) Miles Austin (benched championship game for WW pickup Pierre Garcon)

6) CJ Spiller (started championship game)

7) Malcom Floyd (dropped late in the season, before his injury)

8) Bills DST (dropped early in the season. Started WW pickup Bengals DST in championship)

9) Jake Locker (dropped early)

10) Jamie Harper (dropped early)

11) Russell Wilson (dropped early)

12) Shayne Graham (started championship game)

13) Lestar Jean (dropped early)

The rest of my bench at the end of the season, all WW pickups: Josh Freeman (only started in Manning's bye week) and Jay Cutler (late-game insurance in week 16 in case of a surprise Manning injury since Freeman would have been locked since he played early in the day). Bryce Brown, Javon Ringer (keeper insurance on CJ2K), and Lance Ball (week 16 insurance in case of a surprise Moreno injury).

Getting Spiller late was probably the key to my season.

-Only S. Rice listed as Ques. on Sunday night prevented me from starting him. Coulda started Finley, but went with Watson based on match-up. Would still won with both in line-up, but woulda made a 10 point win a 7 point squeeker.
