How do you feel about Cutler now? (current info on pg 46) (2 Viewers)

not that anyone cares, but i'm of of the hatin' cutler bandwagon.

looking back, I put all of the blame for the cutler/McD rift on cutler. I had to; McD was the one left in Denver. As I generally try to be an optimist, I had to assume that things would be fine in the end.

And then, McD pretty much tore the whole team down. All of the bounty from trading cutler and Marshall...squandered. The sheer number of first and second round picks that McD wasted is staggering. Moreno, Ayers, Alphonso Smith, Darcel McBath, Richard Quinn, Tebow, Zane Beadles. Only demaryius Thomas was a good pick, and IMO the book is still open if taking him vs Dez Bryant wasn't a mistake.

A year removed, I can now say that McD was an unqualified, epic, failure. in his whole tenure, only three personnel moves weren't disasters: Demaryius, Brandon Lloyd and Bryan Dawkins. Everything else was pure garbage. Drafting the bums above? garbage. Letting Weigmann walk in favor of Walton? Garbage. Trading Hillis + picks for Brady Quinn? Garbage.

Based on track record and with the benefit of hindsight, it's really, really hard to give McD any benefit of doubt. The flip side of that coin is that cutler wasn't completely at fault.

So here in 2012, when I think about the Bears, I'm reminded of what could have been, if not for Mcd being a complete **** head. At this point, I hope cutler does well. I hope he wins a legitimate playoff game. i hope he can have a season without running for his life due to an insane OC. I'd like to see him put it together and finally be the QB I thought he would become back in 2008.

This is the year my friend....Cutler is top 5 this year, 12 wins and a shot at the SuperBowl. I am a Packer fan and this is how it looks like it is lining up.

Kudos for being man enough to admit you were wrong. McGenius really did destroy your team.

As a longtime Broncos fan who thought from the start that McDaniel was mostly to blame for the fiasco that resulted in Cutler being traded, props to moleculo for his post.

As for Cutler, he has never quite become the stud QB that many of us thought he could be, mainly because he is simply not a very good red zone passer, but he is still a good, solid QB, one you certainly win with, as the last two years have shown: 17-8 in the regular season (with the Bears being 2-5 in games not started by him), a playoff win and an appearance in the NFC title game.

As for his FF possibilities this year, I think he has a chance at being top 10, but things need to fall right. 25 TD passes, 4,000 yards and a few rushing TDs are certainly a strong possibility if he can stay healthy, Marshall stays on the field and the line does a decent job blocking.

As has been said before, Cutler's value depends heavily on your league scoring system. In leagues that penalise for sacks and INTs, this guy is too inconsistent to count on, and I'd probably rather have a guy like Jake Locker as my QB2.

Locker > Cutler? Has anyone seen Lockder drafted before Cutler? Cutler will be a solid but not great QB1 this season. He has a great WR and a real O. Forte in the backfield will keep defenses honest.

as soon as I broke down and actually used him in a couple draftstreet leagues -- I knew I couldn't trust this sack.

Came so close to picking him up and starting him over rgIII and Vick this week. Chickened out after I saw his horrid track record at lambeau

Cutler is for lack of a better word a "dumb" qb. He has a canon for an arm, but he consistently makes bad choices. I wouldn't want him as my qb in fantasy or real life.

Cutler wished Green Bay's secondary "good luck" at utilizing physical tactics against Chicago's receivers, while Brandon Marshall deadpanned, "I do welcome that."

does Chicago ever run timing routes? It's as if cutler needs to see the receiver be open before he can pull the trigger. It's like watching Tim Tebow, only with a spiral.

I'll be honest, the best comparison I can think of for Cutler is John Daly. Both have world class talent. Both have the ability to put together a patient and accurate game, but more often than not the wheels are going to come off. No matter how well they may play on any given weekend you know the next debacle is coming sooner rather than later.

What's funny is that it seemed like Rodgers also had a terrible game. Certainly not a vintage GB performance.

But... 22-32 for 219 yards, 1 TD and 1 INT which was not his fault.

Not the numbers his owners expect, but nowhere near Cutler's awful outing.

Tonight was bad Cutler. Has anyone tracked night games vs day games for Cutler? I will say this, if he gets dropped in any of my leagues I will be picking him pick

that's just not particularly great, but still 69% completions which isn't close to terrible11/27, giving the ball to the other team 4x and taking 7 sacks is terrible.

you guys can start explaining why none of that is suckler's fault anytime now.

This just goes to show you that you should never take QB's early in drafts unless you scoring system is completely skewed towards QB's
