I am as happy as if the Dolphins had won. I am as happy as I could be this year - partially b/c the Pats lost and partially because the game was a really good one.
But that is only b/c the Dolphins have sucked for the last few years (plus) and going against seeing the Pats go undefeated was all I had to cheer for this year.
I am sure I will be happier than I was last night when the Dolphins return to the Bowl.

When I sat down to watch the game, I hadn't even thought, "I'm rooting for the Giants". I was really indifferent until the game started and I just started rooting for the Giants. It was unavoidable for me, I had to root for the underdog.
It was so fun watching the D-line get to Brady time and time again. I was mesmerized.
Most exciting 7-3 first half in football history.

Honestly ... I'm probably happier than if the Broncos had won the Super Bowl. It may sound weird, but I know as a Broncos fan that nothing is going to be as sweet as knocking off the Packers in SB32. That's the pinnacle -- fantastic on-paper matchup, tense back-and-forth game, last-minute win.
As an impartial observer, watching this upset was like watching that SB32 again, or like watching the 2001 "good guy" Patriots knock off the high-flying Rams in SB36. It was just a treat to watch and I don't think the Broncos could have topped it.
PS -- Not a Patriots hater. Like most, I rooted for the underdog.

I didn't really root for either team - I figured either I will see history or one of the better upsets in history.
I was a little disappointed to not see history - I mean to say I saw a team go 19-0... that's something.
But as a NYJets fan I'm always happy to see the Pats go kablooey, even better to the Giants.
I would have liked more scoring but WOW that was a great 4th quarter.

I dont remember ever being so excited watching a football game as the Giants were driving down the field for the GW TD. Probably for most the reasons every other non-Giants fans were, plus i bet the money line.$$$

As a Bear fan, I am thrilled. If the Pats had gone 19-0, that would basically take my 18-1, 1985 beloved out of the GOAT discussion (and probably made it impossible for any team to claim it from NE - as NE would always have had the "we went 19-0 first" card to play - Dolphin fans, notice 19-0 > 17-0...in fact, one could argue that 18 victories is better than 17... 
but I digress).
Basically, as a Bear fan, a win for the Giants was almost like a win for the Bears in that sense - but I would have been much happier if the Bears had won last year.

It was the next best thing possible to my own team winning it... Hard to paint a more hated and bigger Villian in Sports than this Pats team and this goes back a ways.... Then there's "The Fans". 
In general, like most sports fans, I love seeing the Incredible Upset and the Underdog pull off the Miracle but, this was that X 1000000000!!!!

I am pretty happy.
Not a fan of either but I really wanted the Giants to win for three reasons.
1. Tiki Barber, this may be the funniest sports thing to me since Don Beebe taking Leon Letts goodies. What a jackass.
2. Eli Manning, I think he has been unfairly criticized and has been doing well for a young qb good for him!
3. The patriots, I am petty, I wanted to see them lose, jerks.

I am slightly less happy than if the Bears had won the Super Bowl. I certainly was rooting for the Giants, as I didn't want to see this Pats team take its place in the pantheon of legendary teams. Plus, watching the G-men win without Tiki was pretty nice as well. Throw in Belicheat, HGHarrison, Moss et. al. and I really enjoyed seeing them come up short.
I'm curious as to how Charger fans feel about this. The Pats knocked them out of the playoffs the last two seasons, but the Manning who dissed the franchise got to hoist the Lombardi Trophy. I wonder whom the Bolt fans wanted to win (or wanted to lose less).

Nice to hear a NY team as the team of the people for once. It seems a lot of folks are just as happy as if their own team won... I honestly can not explain the sports joy I have felt the last day as a Giants fan witnessing this actually happen. Really happened to a team of good guys, too.

My favorite thing to see in a game is a QB running for his life.
3rd QB Brooks Bollinger against Baltimore in his first outing. Classic for me.
I rooted for the Giants just to root for the DL. Would have been happy for the winners no matter who won. My teams out. Let's see a good game... and hopefully some great defensive play. I got that.

I didn't vote that and I'm damn happy.... I kept telling people that if it were my team I'd have trouble breathing that last few minutes, it was crazy anyway... If it were my team I would have been a lot more drunk, I would have been at a bigger party and I wouldn't have stopped partying yet.But, it just shows you how much this Pat team and fans played the villian role.Who would vote for this? I don't get this at all. I was happy the Giants won, but I would have been 100X happier if it was the Steelers.

WOW... Watching this parade and NYC going NUTS.....
I find it amazing that it's not my team and I feel emotional over it...
Part of it, of course, is the shared hatred of the opponent but, a lot of it is just genuine happiness for Eli and Coughlin who took a lot of crap this year and the past few combined with no Tiki... Tiki alone would change my feelings on this team... He would be the spokesperson right now in front of every camera but, now instead it's a TEAM thing.... The Team that wasn't supposed to be here.

Yeah, I wish I could be there, but had some things at work and just could not make it. Thank god I was able to go through Times Square on Sunday night to get some of the flavor of this... NY loves this team. It's a hard group of guys to find fault with, and New York loves a story of overcoming hardship... between Eli and Coughlin, this team absolutely did that.
