How is trade value calculated? (1 Viewer)

Could someone please point me to where I can find information on how trade value in the Top 250 Forward is calculated?

I did a title search in the Shark Pool for "trade value" and all I got was mostly questions about individual players' trade values. It is not in the "Help" section in old versions of Trade Dominator. I browsed through the archive but didn't see anything jump out at me there either.

Would not put too much stock in it. Zach Miller catches 6 balls for 90+ and he droped 2 spots. Wen't from TE 10 to TE 12. Not sure thats the logic im going to go with.

I think the Top 250 for Monday night came out before the conclusion of the MNF games. That would explain why none of the NE/BUF/OAK/SD players moved much. I think the reason any of these players moved was because other players moved above or below the MNF players' original rankings.

The value is determined by the draft pick calculator. Think of the Top 250 Forward as "if the draft happened today" and the value is what each pick in a draft is worth.

From the TOOLS tab in the main FBG page, you can click on a Draft Pick Calculator, which takes you to here and if you enter just one pick (in terms of overall pick, not round and pick), you can see the value of each individual pick in the draft.

Gotcha, so basically if I read Jeff Pasquino's article mentioned here: http://forums.footballguys.com/forum/index...howtopic=317652 it will all make sense?

I'm not sure what to say about that, but the main purpose of this calculator is for defining trade value. It can be one player for one player, two for two, three for two, but the total value being exchanged should give you an idea of the fairness of the trade or whose side it favors. Of course, it's normally true that the team that gets the best player wins FF trades regardless of total value, and you're relying on Dodds' values for a standard FBG scoring league, probably tailored to 12 or 10 team leagues. Any aspect where a given league (or projections) differ from this will skew the value, so it's a ballpark figure at best.
