How long does C. Cordero keep the closers job? (1 Viewer)

I don't think they have anyone else in the pen who can close, but the Nationals can't keep running him out there to screw it up - Can They?

The #s say otherwise, but he hasn't really pitched that poorly.

Sunday was a perfect example: he was getting severely squeezed by the ump. That led to the first walk and also helped Daryle Ward stay alive. Ward then fouled off several great pitches before before an opp-field single. Then Theriot barely got a bat on a blooper that dropped in. After the intentional walk to D.Lee, Ramirez grounded out weakly. The hardest hit ball was Jacque Jones' grounder to end the inning.

I think he's a great buy low guy right now.

-His luck and performance can only go up.

-Like mentioned, there's no one to take over for him.

-There's also the possibility he's dealt to a better team, giving him more save chances.

Cordero is young, was great last year, and is playing on a team that has no other options and isn't going to win anything anyways. I don't see him getting replaced.
