How long for Rudi? (1 Viewer)

Really a two part question here...I am debating whether to start Rudi and am just wondering if any Cinci homers have heard anything on how long he'll play. I looked at the Bengal depth chart and Perry is his only other back up listed. Who'll be toting the rock if he is pulled?

Not a Bengal homer but I thought Cincy needed this game to retain the #3 seed. So, I would expect Rudi to play. Perry, his primary backup, was "out" last week. So, he is unlikely to see the field before the play-offs.

If they wanted to rest Rudi and Perry, then Watson would probably be the guy to get the scab carries. He was in Chris Perry' role last year.

Rudi is about 60 rushing yards short of 1500 for the season, which I believe no Bengal has ever reached. I think he plays until he hits the mark, or the game is a blowout either way.

Kenny Watson has been IR since Week 1 with a torn bicep. Perry is definitely out.Jeremi Johnson is the backup RB, although Nick Luchey could probably see carries as well. Quincy Wilson is an interesting guy on the practice squad, but there's no chance of him being activated for this game.My guess is that both Johnson and Luchey would get carries, but (as noted above) I'd imagine Rudi plays at least the first half if he's feeling well. Regardless, Levi and Big Willie will get plenty of rest if Carson doesn't play, so none of the above are a great play.

Why have I heard so many places that Rudi may not play much this game? Don't the Bengals want the #3 seed? Now I don't know if I should start Rudi, Bell, or Ricky!

I don't think any Bengals starters will be in for more than a quarter... other than Housh, to get his 1000 yds receiving. They don't care about the #3 seed.#3 they play the Steelers#4 they play the JagsMight like their chances better against the Jags

#3 they play the Steelers

#4 they play the Jags

Might like their chances better against the Jags
Second Round.#3 goes to Denver

#4 goes to Indy

I am sure they will be happy with either seed, but I think they would prefer #3.

Denver may be playing better than Indy at this point...

plus...the off chance that they beat Denver and the Pats (possibly) upset the Colts, the #3 seed would be nice to have
