How many are sitting or playing Thomas Jones? (1 Viewer)

Up until now I've had Thomas Jones tucked safely on my bench because of the 2 stout defenses in weeks one and two.

Is this the week to play Jones? I'm getting conflicting reports in regards to Miami's D because the offense has been so bad right now.

Also no carries for Leon Washington last week? Will this continue with Jones touting all of the carries?

I'm debating between him and Fitzgerald this week.

I'm going with TJ, not much else to choose from though. Miami's defense has been suspectible to the run this year (only two games, I know), but with Zach Thomas out, and with the Jets giving TJ the full load last week vs Balt, I think he will do fairly well against Miami.

WIthout commenting on your WDIS <cough>Jones<cough>, I would think Jones would be very underrated right now. Reasons to still be optimistic right now:

1. He played against two top defenses the first two weeks in the Patriots and Ravens. No one expected much these weeks anyway.

2. He still managed 135 total yards these two weeks, which is by no means good, but at the same time, I don't think its too alarming considering who the Jets were up against.

3. Leon Washington didn't get a single carry against the Ravens to Jones' 24. Not an RBBC by any means as many were suggesting prior to week one.

I still think Jones will be a top 15 RB this year and really should be in your lineup from here on out, unless you have a real legitimate replacement. Guys like Lewis, White, Brown, Caddy, Green etc. should not be in you lineup over Jones.

I don't have him, so I'm not sitting or playing him. But I would guess that everyone who has him is sitting or playing him.

I do have him, and I can confirm that I am sitting or playing him this week.If your choices are R Bush, T Jones and J Lewis (start 2 RB, no flex) definitely considering benching R Bush. If you have to give Bush one more chance, then the decision is Jones or Lewis, with a lean toward Lewis. How do you bench a guy that runs for over 200, even if it was against the Bengals? So in summary, either sit or play Thomas Jones this week. I would play him over Larry Fitz in a non-PPR, probably even with PPR at this point.

I am starting him over LenDale White and Santonio Holmes in a PPR. The Dolphins are exactly the kind of creampuff opponent he needs. It should be a close, low scoring game. That should translate into lots of carries for TJ.

I own Thomas Jones in one of my leagues. Here's my take on him:

I watched a decent portion of the NYJ vs. BAL game last week and even though his numbers weren't great he sure as heck didn't look like a guy who wasn't healthy. He certainly looked like he's recovered reasonably well from his injury. Beyond that, they are playing Miami this week. Miami's aging defense has really struggled this season. They are ranked 29th in the league against the run. In week 1 they gave up nearly 200 yards on the ground. Last week they gave up about 160 yards on the ground. TJ was banged up in Week 1 where he struggled against a solid New England defense and last week was against the Baltimore defense. He had 24 carries last week and even though he only had 67 yards this a sign to me that he is healthy. Leon Washington did not get a single carry. Based on the reasons above, I'm going to play him. Just my .02
