How many heart attacks did the first play of regular season cause last (1 Viewer)

I about got sick...heard my cellphone going off with leaguemates calling.

I've been cursed the last two years and that would've been heartwrenching.

LOL I had just traded Addai the week before our draft in my keeper league for a first round pick. First play, I laugh, pick up phone, call the owner who I traded him to.

you only got a 1st for Addai??? :hey:

I got a little nervous but I was pretty confident he just had the wind knocked out of him and hed be back. Wouldve made for a interesting start to the season. I wasnt really worried about losing my top pick (I have Keith who would be solid as a replacement and I have enough depth to make up for it) but I was more worried about losing my first game.

At about 7:45pm Eastern, I completed a trade for Addai as I wasn't comfortable owning Larry Johnson anymore (I had him for a while 9 days!) and had no desire to watch many Chiefs games. Then the first play happened and I figured it was gonna be one of those seasons................

I was actually on the phone with the guy that owns Addai in one of my leagues discussing a trade. I was trying to add in Kenton, who I picked up a few days ago, and he was explaining to me how Kenton has no value exactly when Addai went down.

If anyone was watching (at least those who have played football or other tough contact sports) would have known that it was likely only the air knocked out of him. My friend was watching with me and he has addai. At first we were both concerned, but then I quickly saw how he was reacting on the ground, and the replay made it CLEAR that there was nothing re: knee or ankle and that he was hit hard in the gut which is quite common.

Yeah, it was nerve wracking but it was also pretty obvious that he had the wind knocked out and it was unlikely to be anything more.

Literally? I'd guess none. I've been wrong before, though.
No ...not literally...As someone that has a broken wrist from the spring still in rehab...I was nervous. I didn't think anything was wrong with my wrist either...just a sprain. But yeah...it was pretty funny. They showed the shot of him on the bench and I was hollering for him to get up and get his helmet.

Addai going down on the first play got me and a couple Jags fans talking about what happens if Garrard gets hurt this weekend, is out for the season and Gray plays pooring coming off the bench. With Leftwich still not signed... Obviously resigning Leftwich would be the best option for both the team and Byron, but I doubt either would want to do it.

Probably none, but after Andrea Kramer at first said there was no information on Addai, I'm sure several people returned to the OR for testing.

Considering one guy has been trying to get him from me in exchange for SJax (he wants Bush/Addai/Holt/CHI for SJ/Betts/Coles/CAR) I about flipped until I saw the replay and figured he just got the wind knocked out. But I was seriously unhappy especially after how good Bush wasn't in his first drive.

in my dynasty, i have Keith. i was jumping up and down. i literally thought i would win the championship this year with no Addai
