How many leagues is too many? (1 Viewer)

I've found with baseball I have to do a small number. Too long of a season.

Used to play 4-5 per year and got burnt out by June every time.

I didn't play at all in 2007, then got back in with one league last year and loved it (helped that I dominated).

This year I got in a local league plus the BBT league. Don't think I would want to do more than 2.

I think the answer is 1 football, 1 baseball, and no other sports. 2 in football or baseball might be doable if one is a work league or small stakes or something.

I'm cutting back this year from 4 to 2. It stops being fun and starts to feel like work sometimes...like I wanna go to bed, but I gotta check all the box scores and L/R matchups for 2 hours to set all my lineups :blackdot:

I used to do 5, but I've cut back to 3. One is my main home league with keepers and contracts and all that, one is a redraft with some guys at work, and one is an auction at my fiance's job. I like doing one of each league setup.

I did three last year and didn't feel overwhelmed at all. I'm trying out some auctions this year and increased the number to five. I'll probably knock at least one off my list next year.

I don't usually like anything over 3 leagues. Reason being, I have a hard time keeping track of what player is one which of my teams, and I mean, it's annoying rooting for someone to get a hit...but not a home run and then get caught stealing or something...because you have Grady Sizemore in one league where you need points in average, but your main competition in another league also has him and you need him to get penalized for caught stealing. Or some weird combination like this.

I don't like to do more than one auction league, because auctions take much more time to prepare for than straight drafts. Doubly so if it's NL-only or AL-only.

I have 1 auction league and 1 draft league right now, but I've found as much as 1 auction/3 draft to be manageable. Anything more is too much to keep up with.
