How many teams do you own? (1 Viewer)

I got 13 slated for 2013. 12 are deep roster dynasty, one is deep roster redraft. 3 are contract auction. Only 2 are money leagues.

The number doesn't seem to bother me in rookie drafts and even lineup selection. Does seem to be over-wheeling in evaluating trades and evaluating your competition league by league.

Curious If anyone has advice as to what a ceiling number is.

These threads pop up every year. Everyone has a different approach to FF, so you will get a hundred different answers. I will give you mine.

I went through a kind of "evolution" if you will, over the last several years. I've cut my leagues down to two. They are both redrafts. Personally, I find the draft to be a big part of the fun. Both are filled with people I know. Both are money leagues.

I found that having more than a couple leagues leads to way too many instances of players playing for you in one league, and against you in another. Takes the fun out of it, imo.

Also, I watch every Cowboys game, and am a fan first. FF takes a backseat to that.

So, for me, having a couple money leagues with buds is where its at.

I play in one 3-keeper league with friends, one nutty 20-person 2QB 6-keeper league, and try to find one redraft a year. Anything more than that and I don't get any of the fun of fantasy; when you're starting or facing 12 different RBs in a given week, it really doesn't add anything to watching the games.

I have found three is my magic number too...beyond that, I have found that I literally cannot root for anyone on my team, since they are likely going against me in another league.

I'm the commish for the only dynasty league I'm in. I used to do the spray and pray approach to ffl but found up I was cheering and swearing at each touchdown. Took the fun out of it. One league for all the marbles gives me higher high and a lower low. Plus it puts more pressure on moves because I don't have another league to try a different tactic out. It's gotta work all the time.

But to each his own.

In about 25 or so this year. Probably half redraft, half dynasty. Only two are for $$, and not much at that. If I spent more $$ on leagues, I'd definitely

cut it down and focus more.

20+ leagues? Nice. I used to be in 5 or 6 but got down to two. Last year I picked up two keeper IDP leagues on MFL-one 16 teams, one 32. That was fun but I just could't keep up.

So I'm back to the original 2. I've been in one since 1994 and I run the other-this is our 11th year. I'm old :)

I was in six for a good, long, while(not including any high stakes I may do in a given year, so maybe one additional league every couple years, or so). One dynasty that's been rolling for nearly 15 years, and then a handful of re-drafts.

I will be down to five this year, with the intent of trimming it down to four come '13. Can't ever see it climbing back over five unless I get a divorce, or something like that. :)

I use to be in 12 leagues for about $1000 total ($50's and $100's).

Knocked it down to 4 maybe 5 for the same $1000 (couple of 100's, a $350 and a $500)

What? 20 teams, 2 QB? How does that work?My magic number is 2. 1 serious deep dynasty league and 1 redraft. With friends.

8 here, 6 dynasty, 1 keeper and 1 redraft.

The most leagues I was in was 12, but I found it to be to much. Rooting for and against, etc. Every year I get the itch to draft, the last couple years I have been doing a lot of mock drafts to cure that itch.

Every year I get the itch to do a dynasty initial draft. I cannot afford to give in, I don't have the time I like to put into it. I probably put more time into fantasy football than anybody else in my leagues and would do the same in any new leagues, but I am pretty happy where I am at.

3 dynasties, 1 redraft. All money leagues, but no big stakes ($40, $50, $100, $150). Two dynasties are with 1/2 local, 1/2 internet, one dynasty is all internet with at least several FBG, and the redraft is all local with a live draft. Can't beat a live draft! One guy was talking smack when I drafted Welker, he said Ochocinco was going to be the Pat's leading scorer, so we put a bet on it. He conceded around week four.

5 Dynasty (all internet)

1 local money redraft

0-3 redrafts with different other groups, some money, some not. Fluctuates based on my schedule each fall.

Same here although I think I could stretch to 4. I used to be in 6 or 7 and just "got tired".I find 3 is perfect especially since they are all different. One dynasty, my league is a 1 player keeper and 1 auction-redraft. Nice variety and keeps things interesting.
