Ok, I admit I was wrong.....in fact, KC may only win three games. But when people are throwing stones at a team that was a playoff team a year ago, it is not rational, therefore I defended my team.I see MAYBE three wins@ DETvs. MINvs. OAKKC will have the worst team in it's history.
You are folding so soon? It's just week 1. Many teams can look horrible in week 1 and have good seasons.

Typically those teams have a lot of notable talent. KC didn't really have a bright outlook coming into the start of the season and the game against Houston was basically a drubbing. Like I thought Houston would win, but they came out with a rather mediocre offensive effort (although I guess it's pretty good for HOU) and yet took control of the game without too many issues.

Even in my optimism, I said to people, "We will know a lot about this team by 3 PM on teh first Sunday."....and we do. The reason I say this is:1. They had a HORRIBLE preseason2. @ HOU is one their easiest games this season3. All the national talking heads predicting less than .500, and there was no way that many people are wrong.I was not even talking playoffs, you know it is bad when the optimistic homer view is 9-7 and be in the hunt. Most seasons, since 1989, that was been the BARE MINIMUM expectation. It took me seeing one game for me to see what others saw.....But I will still defend the "house" when it is getting attacked, so I argued and debated. Its why I don't inject my thoughts about another team, because all it does is upset their fans and does nothing but cause grief. Most people in the midwest do not mind bashing their own, but when others outside the fanbase see it necessary to throw stones, that is when the defenses go up.

The Chiefs are going to git whupped like this all year long. That is a good thing.... the worse they are, the sooner Hermie gets fired, the sooner that proud franchise can recover.

He inherited an aging, falling apart team. Just getting to the playoffs last year was a huge accomplishment. For the life of me, I can't figure out all the Herm Edwards hate.

Bring it on.... We're not here to Worry about people's feelings And you have seen it with KC - I think most football fans respect and like KC and there's not a lot of reasons to "Hate".....

But, I'll jump right in on those who doubted the Jets - It is what it is - The Jets neglected their Lines

and lack depth up and down the team..... If an opposing fan wants to say that in a Jets thread then it's not hurting feelings, it's an opinion and a damn good one...... Them making the playoffs last year doesn't mean a damn thing to me. We know how the NFL works, teams stay healthy and have easy schedules and teams get blitzed with injuries and have tough schedules - We're here to decipher all that, feelings be damned.......

I agree with Rovers though and I'm not sure you're on board but, the quicker Herm is gone, the quicker KC has a chance to step it up.....

Herm will NOT allow a team to totally tank - He's got too much rah rah and energy to let people completey slack.... But, I just think if it's him VS a top coach in this league, he's not going to give a team the edge to get them over the hump and you better hope there's not a tough snap decision to make on the field......

He was hired because he's one of the few, if not only, candidates out there that would take over a team and NOT demand his own systems and allow the status quo - The team had one of the better Offenses in the NFL and a defense that was already in a rebuilding stage with Gunther before herm got there - He was hired to Fire up the band and give the team another shot at being competitive with most of the parts already in place.......It's one thing to hire Herm to drive the bus and keep things status quo - and that thing isn't great - We've been through his game day decisions and Game planning ability as well as Adjustments or lack there of - But, helping build and develop a team from a rebuild is certainly not something you want to see as a fan.Their Meat and Potatoes was the OL - They needed to focus 100% on keeping that line Dominant....Same with my Jets - Why do teams think they can do it without a great OL.

You must have missed some of Hermie's recent quotes. Not exact but basically it was "Scoring anything over 21 points shouldn't be needed to win. Over 30 points? That's arena league football, not NFL."He is clueless. The man would actually rather be up 13-10 than 28-10. Does that sound nuts? Well, it should, becasue it is.

I voted 4 games before yesterday. I retract that vote and agree that the Detroit game and the Oak game might be winnable giving them 2. They will not beat Minn, the surprise team of the year.

Since I don't know the quote, it seems out of context. Did someone ask if he'd rather be up 28-10 instead of 13-10? Many good defensive teams DON'T need to score 21 points to win. Look at the Bears the last few years.

No way they beat Detroit. Marzt will put up 30. That's out of Herminators reach.

I searched for this thread to give props, only to see you gave up on your team. <_< :hot:

The Chiefs are definitely doing better than I thought they would, but I was totally right about Damon Huard. He isn't playing even close to as good as he did last year.

I still think the Chiefs end up 7-9 or 8-8 at best.

One more bump, for the kids in the back row. :football:

Does anyone really think that Damon Huard is going to play even close to as good this year as he did last year? Come on, people.
Did he forget how to play football in the off-season?
There are a ton of examples over the years of backup QBs who thrived when the starter got hurt, but struggled once they became the unquestioned, full-time starter.
Can you name someI remember that Brady kid doing OK
How about Scott Mitchell? Also, I noticed you avoided my challenge. :excited:
If Huard comes out and sucks i9n 2008, I'll post here in January -- congrats you were right about him, but right now, I see no compelling reason not to believe that he will suck.
9 TDs and 13 INTs through 12 games. Now, what were you saying about Huard again? :excited:
