how much FAB to spend in guillotine league? (1 Viewer)

12 team league. First team just got eliminated. Amon-Ra St. Brown is now on waivers. Top team has 650 fAB. I have $575. I'd really like to get him. is 50% of FAB too much this early in the league? i am second highest pt scorer but Tyreek has been killing me and Nabers didn't come back too well from his concussion last week.

Seems like you are scoring decently so how much does he help? Do you have any other major weakness where you could be helped more? Tough to say how much you should o without knowing the league.

It's not an unreasonable amount to bid.

I’d do a couple hundred for sure just to see what happens. You know your league better than I do. Hill should improve if Tua plays and Nabers will continually being a ball hog. You’re ok.

Thanks for advice. Yeh, I'm thinking a couple of hundred. Tough to know league as this is the first week that elimination team players have been on waivers. But he is a top 5 receiver on a high scoring team so would be great to add.

Who is likely to be cut next week? I'm a firm believer in big splash bids for the first big FAAB run. That $ won't score points for you in week 8, but ASB will and he might keep you from getting cut, and he might win it for you.

Well waivers ran last night. I bid $250 on St. Brown. He went for $350 and so did Kyren Williams. That turns out to be about 70% of each owners FAB. Good to calibrate. I wasn't willing to spend that much as we have 10 weeks left.

Good call and bid. (You didn’t mention Kyren… or your RB situation so assuming you are good there.)
