How much of your drafted team are you willing to trade (1 Viewer)

I'm pretty happy with the trades I made, and the pickups and drops. Are there guidelines or strategic reasons not to trade your entire drafted team. My feeling is that I'm a better trade negotiator than I am a drafter, so in general I improve my team by making trades.

Drafted players still on my team;

C. Palmer, C. Portis, L. Jordan, H. Ward, J. Walker, R. Curry, T. Gonzalez, M. Leinart and S. Rice.

Edited to add that we drafted 17 players.

Man, where are all these trade-happy leagues?

There's about two trades per year in my leagues, and there's usually an uproar over each one. Obviously, my friends are a bunch of uptight old ladies.

Next time you guys have an opening, let me know. I gotta ditch these losers.

Damn, no one likes to trade in my league. I was just offered FWP & Huard for Big Ben & TO though. Thinking about it, but nto sure I can do it. I will say bye to Ben no problem as I have Romo, but losing TO leaves me with Evans, Jennings & CJ2 @ WR in a start 2 WR league. I could use the RB help though as SA sucks, LJ is hurt & Maroney doesnt do jack. I do have KJ though. Behind them just Fargas & K. Smith. Ugh...

There aren't a lot of trades in my league. Most people seem to stick with whatever they have or are demanding far too much for their players. One guy offered me Lynch for LT + a 1st. I was shocked at the offer to say the least.That said, I make a lot of trades in that league. I find if you are persistent, you can usually make trades in even the most trade barren league.We have a 16 teams with 18 players per roster. Of my original 18, I still have the following:Brees, Favre, LT, Norwood, Harrison, Heath Miller, Roddy White, Isaac BruceI was in a 24 team league a few years back. There were roughly 8-10 trades a week in that league.

I am not a big fan of trades. usually they involve someone who didn't draft well ripping off one of the least knowledgable owners in the league. Me personally, when I make trades I don't try to rip anyone off, I try to make trades that help both teams.

Fantasy football is not socialism. If you can get a good deal out of someone who doesn't do their own research, I say go for it. That's like saying a QB won't throw to a certain WR because the WR overmatches the CB. In reality, he would sit and exploit that matchup all day. As well he should, too. This is a game. This isn't a therapy session. Trading is just another aspect of the game. I will never hold someone's hand through the process.

I'm a trading madman. No player is untouchable. I'd say 60% of our owners don't trade much, while the others are always open to listening. I have built a powerful roster for a 12 team redraft. My starters are Romo, Addai, Parker, Chad Johnson, Steve Smith, Welker (have Galloway as well).

I've traded away Big Ben, Bulger, Adrian Peterson, LJ, Maurice Jones Drew, Braylon Edwards, Kevin Jones, etc. People screamed rape when I got Addai for ADP/Braylon Edwards after week 3. Until ADP's injury, I was regretting that trade. Traded Drew/Cotchery today to get Welker in a package.

This year my draft is allowing me to deal from strength. Drafting LJ/ADP/Jones-Drew/Kevin Jones gave me strength at certain times during the season to make deals when their values were high (LJ/KJ/Bulger for FWP/Chad Johnson after KJ came back as an example). I also at one point had Romo, Big Ben and Bulger (off the wire). If Steve Smith would have a QB I'd be gold - nobody wants him in a deal now so he's my #3/4 receiver..

Some trades work, some don't. But I'm always trying to improve my team. Trading deadline for us is noon Thursday. Sad day for me.
