How would you spend your quarantine? (1 Viewer)

So, you got plenty of food.  You got plenty of water.  You got plenty of TP.

For the purpose of this thread, lets assume you are quarantined with your household (family, roommate, pets, etc) for 2-3 weeks.

What are you going to do with your time?  How would you spend two weeks without being able to leave the house?

My first thought was I would try to tackle some projects around the house, but projects around my home generally require, on average, 3.14159 trips to the hardware store, I decided I would likely get about 1/3 of 10 different projects done.

I have a hunch this will cross a lot with the "what video games are you playing?" thread, but I'd be interested to see what else people would do.

I’ll be working as I can work remotely with no issues.  The remainder of the time catching up on Netflix shows and home projects.  We are moving soon so those will mostly be purging, packing or unpacking.

Go stir crazy, maybe get some cabin fever, and if I have time, I might lose my mind.

Seriously, I can't stay cooped up in my house for 3 weeks. I have to be doing something productive, and I literally cannot work from home.

A few home projects, read some books, and start working through my video game backlog. Opened up my PS4 game library last night and forgot how many good games I’ve “bought” through PS+’s free games and haven’t played.

I can work from home, but not sure how much I would have to do if coworkers are quarantined also.  Will Amazon still be delivering in space suits?

FFA, Netflix, Youtube, play guitar.  Pretty much the same as the way I spend bad weather days now.  I do have a couple of projects I would like to get done but that would be a problem if hardware stores were closed.

I just can't see myself not going a little crazy.  I get bored in a two day weekend sometimes now.  I don't know what to do with myself, and I go through phases with video games where I don't play any for months.  I guess if I am going through a phase where I am playing, I could do some of that.  For the first time I can remember, there is more than one video game that I am actually interested in that comes out soon.

Other than that, Netflix, Civilization VI, and maybe clean up a few spaces (garage and extra basement room).

Remodel our master bathroom.

I've been putting it off, and I could knock it out in a couple of weeks.

I would be reading, watching TV, and playing video games.  I mean, honestly, I'm kind of praying I get the coronavirus.  If I'm lucky, multiple times this year.
Me: Okay honey, for the next two weeks I'm staying home playing video games and watching Netflix.  I'll probably be drunk for at least half that time, and I plan to leave the house only when absolutely necessary.

Mrs. K: Don't you think you're overreacting to the coronavirus?

Me: What's a coronavirus?

I’m scheduled to rebuild my PC this year so I would probably order all the parts and work on that. I think I’d paint the ceiling of my master bedroom and entire garage as well.

I would love an opportunity to be quarantined.  All I would need is my booze and laptop.  If my wife and kids are also quarantined, no bueno.

BTW I don't think you actually need to pay for a membership.  That's what I've heard at least.
upload your own self- made vid, and receive a lifetime premium membership ... or so i've heard  🔃

ETA: it needs to reach 10,000 unique hits for the bonus.

I can work from home and I'm sure that would be expected. But, if I'm trying to stay away from wife and kids to keep them from getting it, I'd burn a lot of hours on video games, piano, & ukelele.

Are the people in here talking about remodeling a room, cleaning out the garage, etc. underestimating the illness? I thought (maybe wrongly) that people actually need to take it easy during coronavirus recovery.

:lmao:

Being forced to stay in your house and not leave for 3 weeks sounds awesome until the choice of leaving your house is actually taken away from you.  I would go stir crazy, even though I am a homebody.

Will definitely read more than I do now.  I have a pile of books to catch up on.  I would definitely be playing a LOT of video games.  Would start a list of projects I can get done over the three weeks, and finish at least one of them (so I can go back to the video games guilt free).

+1

I live alone and don't go out much before all this. I'll continue hanging on the internet, watching movies and snuggling with my pet.

Honestly, I could be very happy staying home for 2 weeks.  Hell, I mark a good weekend if my car doesn't leave the driveway Friday - Monday.  I could absolutely work from home, and all of my hobbies are things I can do without leaving.

I'd brew a hell of a lot of beer.  Might be a good time to go get a sack of grain and hops in bulk.  Of course, I'll need to empty some kegs first, so that will be fun.  Beyond that, there are plenty of entertainment options: I have my kids x-box to get acquainted with, plus hulu, netflix, disney + and amazon prime.

Should I get stir crazy, my house backs up to some woods.  I could absolutely walk out my back door and go trapsing around and not run into a soul.

I’m in day 3 of work imposed working from home until the end of March. Other than going out for some daily exercise I probably won’t leave the house. Not sure what else I do. Maybe some downsizing since I’m getting ready to move.
