Huge melee at new Casino in NYC (1 Viewer)

The Big Guy

Fear the Blitz
What possibly goes thru the mind of someone when they pick up a chair and throw in towards a crowd of people? Is there a single thing that could go right at that moment?

All bets were off after a massive, chair-hurling brawl broke out Friday night at the grand opening of a Fat Tuesday New Orleans-style daiquiri bar inside the Resorts World Casino in Queens, officials said.

Up to 400 people were involved in the 10 p.m. brawl at the four-year-old Ozone Park casino next to Aqueduct Racetrack.

An eye-popping video of the fight shows patrons hurling chairs across the room at each other and swinging gold stanchions as if they were swords. “A lot of gang members (were involved),” a police source said.

Chairs were thrown in the 400-person fight Friday night, video showed."why are people going nuts at the new location?" someone asked Fat Tuesday via Twitter.

"in New York?" the clueless company responded an hour and a half after the fight unfolded.

Multiple police units were mobilized at the Queens casino after a huge fight broke out, authorities said.
The dining area at the Vegas-style gambling hall was left in tatters from the ruckus, which went on for several minutes as melees and score-settling erupted in pockets throughout the food court.

The fight erupted inside near the daiquiri franchise shortly after it opened, but quickly spilled to an outside parking lot.

A handful of people, including cops and security guards, suffered injuries, officials said. Cops arrested four people at the scene.

Charges were pending, cops said.

The racino opened in October, 2011 after a decade of controversial false starts and blowback from the critics.

The fight isn't the first time that all hell has broken loose at the relatively new racino

Several security personnel were injured.
Less than six months after opening a brazen thief slipped a note to a teller and walked away with $63,000 in cash.

In November, a crook followed an 88-year-old gambler all the way to his house, 10 miles from the betting parlor, and robbed him of $1,000 in prize money.

And in February, a gambling granny locked her 5-year-old granddaughter in her car while she hit the slots.

They can expect plenty more of this too. Ever since a casino opened in my county, we've had a handful of these degenerates coming through the prison gates every month. Their warped sense of logic and total lack of responsibility never cease to amaze me. Absolutely pathetic.

There's a newer casino in Baltimore that borders on the part of town that I don't visit. This is a monthly occurrence.

There's another casino down the road from this one that's a few years old. They put it in an area that was somewhat nice. Not anymore.

Horseshoe isn't so much in a "neighborhood" as a warehouse district, right on the BW Pkwy offramp. Loads of security in and outside. There have been brawls there? What's been the impact of Maryland Live on it's neighborhood? I've heard it's a dump of a casino, but haven't heard anything about it having consequences on the surrounding area. I know it's in a giant shopping complex with plenty of parking.

It's going to be interesting to see how MGM plans on dealing with security at National Harbor. They have the potential for super VIPs at any given time, so it's vital that they set a precedent immediately. Any sketchy stories would be crushing.

The Horseshoe is the new one on Russell St (near the stadiums). You'll be fine there, but there are incidents I see on the news every month. It's about a 5min ride to Power Plant and 10-15 to Fells. The other one is at Arundel Mills, but there isn't anything else around for your bachelor party.

Russell St intersects with MLK just past the casino. There's no reason to go west of MLK.

"You know what's sad? Martin Luther King stood for non violence. And I don't care where you are in America, if you're on Martin Luther King Boulevard, there's some violence going down." Chris Rock

No one ever said white people are above acting like stupid idiots either. But I bet when you opened this thread up, you just had a feeling who the brawl would involve. It is ok, we all know that serial killers are almost always white. Certain things tend to go certain ways.
You seem real defensive.

nope, nice try but you got the wrong fishing bait. Could not find a way to care less about what color idiots are when they act idiotic. More white people in the country means many more white idiots are out there doing stupid things. Numbers are what they are.

A casino in Queens? What could possibly go wrong?
I was going to post the same thing...I didn't know this place even existed...not that I'd ever go there.

Seriously, I wonder how many people get robbed right after they step outside this place? What a horrible idea.
