Huston Street to Milwaukee? (1 Viewer)

  :(

The blogs keep updating, Brewer brass is not high on Street, it could be a move for Ray Durham they speculate.

It would make a lot of sense for the Brewers to get Street, as he's tied up for two more seasons.

It's going to take more than a poor mans Michael Bourn to get it done though.

Looks like the Brewer's have traded for Ray Durham. Gives them a switch-hitter of the bench and insurance if Weeks doesn't pick it up.

Brewers-Giants finale; trade official

And the Brewers just made the Ray Durham trade official. They acquired the Giants' second baseman for minor leaguers Steve Hammond and Darren Ford.

After watching tonight's game, I'd say Gagne might be coming around, and Torres looks solid as the closer.

As for the Cards' bullpen.....

Brew Crew will still add a reliever before the deadline. Gagne may have potential to come up huge down the stretch but Mota is complete garbage and Riske is 1/4 of the pitcher he was last season with KC. It doesn't make much sense to give up a top prospect for a experienced closer like Street, but we need another righty that can get some outs. Yost has always been in love with Shouse and Stetter has been solid as, which also wouldn't make sense for them to trade for another lefty. They may also be a little gunshy after trading for Linebrink at this time last year which ended up being a complete waste.

Hardy or Escobar would net them Sherrill, but I think they're done dealing.
