Hypothetical Situation - Trump Russian Ties Proven (1 Viewer)

This isn't the thread for discussing anything related to the possibility of Trump/Russian ties - there is a different thread for that.  This thread is to discuss what would happen if the Trump Russian ties are proven.  Again, completely hypothetical because even if the Kremlin wanted Trump to win it would be extremely difficult to prove actual votes were tampered with.  I'm not interested in discussing all the scenarios that might lead to Trump being removed from office, just curious what the process would be if somehow it were proved that Trump won directly due to Russian involvement.  If somehow it were proven that Hillary would have won without the Russian interference, what would happen.

Hillary instated as president?  Pence takes over as Trump is impeached/resigns/jailed?  Other?

Russian Involvement + Trump Campaign involvement = Jail for Campaign members, Pox on Trump Presidency, no change in presidency

Russian Involvement + Trump involvement = Trump resignation, Pence presidency - no jail for Trump, Ford-like pardon, maybe exile him to Russia...

There is no situation where Clinton becomes president.

As long as Trump did not take donations from the Russians, there is probably nothing illegal to nail Trump on.  The Russian angle may show a lot of questionable dealings which show Trump has no ethics.  None of these connections will do anything even if some ties are proven.  Screaming treason will get nowhere.

Pence takes over as Trump is impeached/resigns/jailed?

- Trump is impeached.

He would take it to the limit, and he's escorted out the WH.

Eventually pardoned by Pence.

However this would take direct proof - an email or eavesdropped discussion directly involving Trump, which is what doomed Nixon.
