I am starting Doug Martin over _________ (2 Viewers)

Not on his twitter, where did you see this?
He did a little piece about Martin on the NFL Network that Michael Fabiano re-tweeted.@ 3:39pm. At the very end of the one minute segment Rapoport stated that “he won’t be starting tonight, but they expected big things"

I guess it’s kind of a vague statement, but he clearly said Martin will not be starting tonight.

Thanks, I finally watched the video.  Gives you a little pause.....

Think I'm rolling him out there over Amari Cooper in my flex.  .9 from Copper last week.  Big Scorer......

Ugh what does that mean not starting?  I would think Tampa doesn't want to get into a shootout tonight and will try to really get the run game going.

Who knows what these repots mean?

Rapoport is saying that he won’t start, but they expect big things from him (I don’t know if he meant all season or tonight) on the other hand ESPN’s Dan Graziano is reporting that Martin will be “significantly in the mix” and that he gets the “sense” that the Bucs didn’t activate him to work in a timeshare with Jacquizz Rodgers"

The Pewter Report on Twitter (credentialed media site (what ever that means) for the Bucs) said on 10/3 that "Martin is back and was getting first team reps right off the bat during the early portions of practice"

Starting really doesn't mean anything in the NFL anymore. Rex Burkhead started week 1. 6 total touches later...... If anything, it's a nod to Jaquizz as a thanks for the memories start but your'e JAG and Martin is well above average and thanks.

Probably means Quizz comes out for the first play, which is a bomb from Winston toward Evans.  Then Martin comes in and runs up the middle, and on from there...

Starting is ceremonial in the days of rbbc.

Bottom line is it’s impossible to know what Martin’s role is going to be. It seems logical to me that Martin is going to see a limited role tonight as he has only had one full practice. Next week is probably the week to start Martin unless you have limited options...There just isn’t enough clarity on his role only 30 minutes before kickoff

I'm in a weird position. Need to start 2 out of Martin, quiz, Crowell. Right now--I have Martin and crow in--but Im actually thinking of sliding quiz in place of crow last second and just banking on the tb running game.  Uggh.

Cut wtf.  Where did you here that?  He was the best RB through preseason.
this was long before camp.  I will have to find the article/viewpoint, it was some time ago, i bought into it, or at least wont be shocked if things dont start well he wont see much field.  I think barber is the long term thought (of course barber meaningless today)

He could totally flop, but with Cohens reduced role last week and tough matchup, and guys like him with similar question marks, not sure they are any better an option - almost all teams rotate backs and NE is terrible against the run so far.

As to just returning, if there is one position where there is not as much need to get in the flow or get timing, it's RB... it's instinct, reading blocks and athleticism. If he gets in a groove good things could happen.

Im going with him over question mark guys like Cohen or McGuire on the Jets, so assume the worst.

Tried so hard to trade for him before he came back. Owner would not budge even though he's winless.

Hope others were able to swing that, he's going to be super solid ROS.

Thanks Dougie. Quality game and even if Cohen plays well, I can rest a little easier knowing this is by no means another RBBC.

My team is coming together for a second half push to the playoffs.  Brees / Hunt / Martin / M. Thomas / Dez is a pretty solid core  Lacking in TE with ASJ or M. Bennett, but that's OK.

Thanks Dougie for rounding out my squad!

My team looks about like yours...Rodgers Howard Martin Brown Dez Hogan Graham.

I keep reminding myself that it only looks good because I've not had to deal with major injuries... Yet. That's sure to change.
