I believe that Chicago can and will knock the Packers out of the playoffs.

I also am rooting for Chicago to win the Superbowl.

Chicago allowed New England to march in during a snowstorm and beat the verlovng spit out of them...they are the biggest fraud as a #2 seed as anyone in the playoffs. Easily could be one and done at home in the 2nd round of the playoffs.

For a team that has Mike Martz and likes to throw the football they have very little at the WR slots. Their running game is very hit and miss, Chester Taylor has been a disaster, total joke.

They have a good sound run defense I give them lots of credit for that and decent pass rush but overall they are a weak football team compared to other playoff teams.

I don't believe, not for a second.

So.., you are saying you don't believe?

Your incessant Packer hate has riled me. Should we ever meet I plan on sewing a pickle up inside of your rectum.

Oh, Happy New Years GB.

Any team could be one and done, but don't base your analysis of the Bears chances on the NE game. NE has made several very good teams look silly this year. It's easy to fixate on the NE game because it was played recently and it was such a high profile game with a ton of hype. However, the snowy conditions actually favored NE, as the bears are a much better indoors and artificial turf team. That's because the Bears are predicated on team speed. Conversely, NE is perhaps the best poor field condition team in the NFL over the last decade. Brady actually seems to thrive in such games. Also, the Bears are DEAD LAST in the NFL in passing attempts. It's a complete misnomer to think that just because Martz is in Chicago the Bears are a passing team. Nowadays, the Bears are back to being a running team, but not in the 3 yards and a cloud of dust traditional sense. With Jay Cutler, Johnny Knox, Devin Hester, Matt Forte, and Greg Olsen this is a big play offense, capable of putting up lots of points. This is not your father's Bear's offense.Add in the fact that they are one of the best coached teams in the NFL with a plethora of former head coaches in place, and the best special teams unit with the most dangerous returner in the history of the league, and the Bears are one of the most dangerous teams going into the playoffs. The improvement and growth they have shown over the 2nd half of the season (particularly on offense) gives me a completely different take on this team's outlook than yours. They could be one and done, especially if bad weather and poor field conditions rob them of their speed and quickness, but it wouldn't surprise me either if they went down to Atlanta and Dallas and rolled on to a Super Bowl championship either...

#1 ST's unit in all of football#4 scoring Defense in all of football

The Jets allowed 45 to that same NE team....Pittsburgh allowed 39 to that NE team...Chicago allowed 35....NE has been on fire for most of this season.

Chicago has won 7 of 8, only loss to NE. The Bears have won vs Green Bay, Philly, and NYJ. They probably got all "lucky" in those games too.

Jay Cutler has thrown 16 TD's and 7 INT's since the Week 9 bye week.

Matt Forte since week 9: 132 for 626 4.74 3td and 17 for 184. Is 4.74 hit or miss???

Pass protection has been better as well:

First 7 games = 27 sacks

Last 8 games = 19 sacks

Don't believe whatever you want for a second....but this Chicago team the past 8 games is playing well.

I believe in Chicago. Only in a Geraldo Rivera kinda way. Al Capone's vault is empty. (So are the Chicago starters) Lovie is not going to risk his guys with nothing to play for.

Ministry of Pain, I noticed you said nothing about special teams in your post. That is the most forgotten part about Chicago, and it's not just Devin Hester. They also kick fgs well, punt well, and cover kickoffs well. The #1 DVOA in special teams. (The last 5 years, Chicago has been #1, #1, #5, #3, and #1 in special teams DVOA......)

but, Carolina beat San Fransico who beat Seattle who beat Chicago who beat Green Bay in the regular season....so Carolina > Green Bay?(MAJOR sarcasm here, obviously)My point being... One game against NE is a small sample of the team. Yes, they got outplayed horribly by a 14-2 team that day. Chicago is 8-2 in their last 10, with losses to two pretty good teams. (GB and NE).

I believe in the Bears defense and special teams and that is enough to scare me as a Packers fan. I think the Packers offense is better which I hope will be the difference in this game, but I expect an intense game that could go either way. The Packers need to avoid costly drops/penalties/turnovers/special teams mistakes that have cost them in key situations at various times this year.

I believe the Bears can win this game. I just don't consider it likely.

Personally I like the Bears a lot better as a team than the Packers. But they are not as good a team.

Whoever it is I hope they win the super bowl.
