I could have had Roy Williams but I took Driver (1 Viewer)

If the Packers offensive line doesn't come together to pass block better, Favre's ironman status is going 'bye-bye'If that happens and Rodgers comes in to play quarterback your pick of Roy Williams will look genius...Lots of 'ifs' I know but it's the best I can do :)
:lol:Quality.

Two names. Who woudl you choose?Favre or Kitna?orFavre or McCown?Ok discussion OVER. Driver was a good pick.
Are you Kidding ?
LOL!Sorry man I won a championship on picking WR's with good QB's. I had Roy last year... GUESS WHAT.HE SUCKED BECAUSE HE DIDNT HAVE A QB.Use your head.Favre tosses 20+ TD's a year... Driver is the #1. Not hard to understand that philosphy. :wall:
So, by your admission...Randy Moss's quarterback is awful. He's a terrible NFL QB. He's the #1 in Oakland.Right now, Reche Caldwell is the #1 in NE. He has the second best QB in the NFL throwing to him.By your own standards, Reche should destroy Randy in FF this year.Am I correct?

Not even close, try again to spin it somemore.Brooks is a bomber. Throws a great long ball. How is that even close to Kitna? Is Kitna a great long baller? No.... so please when your ready to look at nothing but the facts, Driver is a better pick and a safer pick, PERIOD. Could ROY be better? Sure... but as of now. Driver is... the better pick, plus you can get him at a value spot rather then reaching for him.

Once looked at as future star in Seattle, Kitna developed into a more than adequate starting quarterback in Cincinnati, even putting together an MVP quality season two years ago. When Carson Palmer became a super star, Kitna suddenly become expendable. However, following Palmer's knee injury in the play offs, Kitna suddenly became indispensable. 33 years old, Kitna is not the long term solution anywhere, but he is more than capable of holding down the fort while another young quarterback develops. Kitna is a very good leader, and players rally around him. He throws a very good deep ball, letting the receiver run under it. His decision making has developed into above average, though he could still improve on recognition in the pocket. He is slightly slow of foot, and is more confortable between the tackles, exposing him on a team with a below average line.
This is amusing. The funny part is, you don't even realize I'm on the Driver side, but what you're saying gets more and more ridiculous with everything you post.

Im telling myself that my#1WR Driver that I drafted over Roy Williams was a better pick because of easier schedule and playoff schedule and also that Williams is injury prone..my other WR is Matt Jones...16 team league PPR
Driver is my #1 in another 16-owner league. He looks good tonight, better than Roy Williams has looked so far this pre-season.

My bad I forgot Kitnas nickname was the mad bomber, LMAO.Whatever. He has been a journeyman and cant keep a starting job over the last few years. He is a marginally average Fantasy QB. Brooks has been a good Fantasy QB until last year... but I will keep in mind how many long balls Kitna throws... and his reputation for throwing deep :lmao:

Driver is especially better then Roy w/ Matt Jones as your #2... sure he has all the talent in the world and he's in the perfect situation to succeed... but he's still pretty unproven... you've got a good balence of experience and potential there

you can step down now

Just looking over things...

PRe-season is just that, pre-season. But odd...

Driver 4-72-1 in a half.

R.Williams (started) 0-0-0.

Anyways, again its just pre-season... but if thats any indication. Glad I passed on Roy this year.

Not adding anything to the discussion, but I think I remember reading that driver was a nationally ranked High jumper in High School or College.

I beleive he cleared over 7' feet. That man can get up and take a ball out of the air.

In my opinion, if Driver can have a good fantasy score in tonight's game against the Bengals...when the Pack have looked awful...then he has a very high floor for the season. Of course, I am biased since I have Driver in 3 leagues, but tonight has not dampened my optimism in the least bit. :banned:

Team Bio on Driver

One of the NFL’s most decorated collegiate track athletes (high jump, decathlon, long jump, triple jump), won his conference’s 'Athlete of the Year' award three straight years

Likely could have qualified for 2000 Sydney Olympics in high jump had he concentrated on track

Seriously, stop talking.90% of the QBs in the league wouldn't start with Carson Palmer on the same team.
I will say most of us were hoping the past two years that Palmer WOULDNT develop and Kitna would keep the starting job. I like Kitna

Why do you think they drafted him in the first place. Dude... if you want to spin information go work for the republicans, but dont try spinning this info.

Just to fill you in...

CARSON WAS DRAFTED BECAUSE KITNA WASNT GOOD ENOUGH.

If you mean "good enough" as in "not an elite franchise QB", you're correct. If you mean not worthy of starting in the NFL, you're incorrect.

The fact is, Palmer was (and is) that much better than everyone else in 2003.

That was a no brainer. Williams is a wimp and will miss at least 4 games due to wimpyness and if you have watched the Lions, you would realize that they totally suck. Cover Roy Williams and it's 3 and out. Furrey and bradford? What a joke. Maranelli and Martz: another joke.
:goodposting: Williams is hurt AGAIN this preseason, now its a groin problem? PUH-LEASE!!! he's the biggest wimp outside of Chris Brown..good choice in selecting Driver, aguy who plays for a team that figures to be behind in nearly every game in 2006, and has a hall of famer throwing to him..he's the only credible WR the Packers have, Favre will focus on him exclusively..good choice!

For some unknown reason Driver fell to me at #28 in my keeper league (Can only keep 1 WR (5 players total) so 10 were off the board before the 1st pick). ESPN had him ranked very very low in the auto-rankings which I think is why he slipped to me. I'm more than happy to have him

While I don't believe Kitna is Brett Favre calibre, lets not forget Chad Johnson had his breakout season with Kitna calling the signals.

Mike Martz should allow Williams to thrive as he'll create mismatches for him...injury is his big concern. Driver should be a lock to be top 10-15 however, with an outside shot at top 5. A safer pick to be sure.

Just wanted to see how people thought of this now.....

15-249 (no td's which stinks) for Driver

and

9-109 (no td's)

Thoughts on this?

Will Roy break out? Will Driver continue ripping it up? #2 in the league in yards right now.

I think both receivers will end up with solid stats. Williams has an accurate QB throwing him the ball, and he looked good against the Bears bend-but-don't break pass defense. Driver will continue to give you 70+ yards as long as the old man is still chucking it. Hopefully the home fans booing, I don't know if this is simply reporters stretching the truth, will motivate Williams the rest of the way.

I took Driver as my WR1 over Williams in my draft as well. It wasn't a homer move at all. I really like Driver this season and after two weeks I have zero problems with my decision. He's been terrific. The TDs will come and he's definitely going to see a ton of passes thrown his way each week.

Driver went the pick in front of me so I took Williams, but I would of took Driver.

They play each other this week and both have good matchups, the best choice should show up this week.

If Williams continues to struggle I will be very, very worried.
