King of the Wolfies
Footballguy
I was in a league that was half women, but they were not very active and we had no league outings so it didnt really matter.
In my 16 team league I ended up with Leinart, Addai, J Lewis, Chad Johnson, Boldin, SHolmes, Mare, Panthers with absolutely no depth to speak of at RB.this has to be one of the funniest posts/responses of all time in the the "shark pool".......come compete in my 16-team league which is kicking off its 20th season, and see what real cut-throat competition is about.
Don't be so down on yourself, though man! We all have bad drafts, you'll bounce back. You're a footballguy, you'd have to bounce back! Go get em!Dude, like, you're the guppy...like dude, there's another dude in your league like talking about you like right now like discussing how YOU'RE THE GUPPY. Like, sorry dude, like, that's just how it is.Pennington is like your only QB dude.Well. Everyone had already picked like 2 and 3 QBs each by then, dude...Pennington was like the only starter left besides like charlie frye or something.11.12 Brandon Jones
12.1 Kevin Jones
13.12 Chad Pennington
That wasn't your best stretch of the draft.I know, it sucks. but WTF?
I felt like after hearing Kevin Jones was off the PUP (and we all know Tatum Bell sucks, lets be honest)...anyway...I felt like I had to take him in that spot. Brandon Jones is horrible by me, yes. I honestly think Bo Scaife will catch the most balls in TEN this year, but I got to see a private practice down in houston and i just thought of all the guys that VY flew in this summer, that B Jones looked most talented, gifted and on the same page as VY. I think Vince was starting to really trust him, so if he is healthy I guess I thought he could go big.![]()

Maybe your assessment of who the guppies are should be reevaluated.
Matt Millen would be proud of that drafti went with the Matt Millen "best player on the board" strategy.
LOOK AT MY 16-TEAM LEAGUE WHICH IS KICKING OFF ITS 20TH SEASON!!!11111this has to be one of the funniest posts/responses of all time in the the "shark pool".......come compete in my 16-team league which is kicking off its 20th season, and see what real cut-throat competition is about.
guppies do pay $500 to play FF, sometimes more. i recently sat in on a draft as a paid consultant ($200) of one of teams. these were lawyers, doctors, judges and professors. all brilliant men, and none of them knew anything about fantasy football. this league cost $1000 just to get in. the waiver wire is a auction bidding system, where you pay cash into a pot for players. marques colston was signed last year for $123 before week 3 (9rec/107yds/2tds). mike furrey was signed before week 9 for $281. one week fill in guys were going for 25 bucks. these guys all have a ton of money and all enjoy football. 8 of the 10 were ff guppies. what they have going for them is $100 is like $1 to most of us.Something is not right here1. As mentioned before guppies don't pay $500 to play ff2. I know this sounds sexist, but I have never in my life met a chick that would even consider paying $500 to play ff. If what you are telling us is true, that girl is one of a kind.
This isn't a bad beat. A bad beat is when your Ace high flush is beaten when the board pairs on the river. A bad beat is when Michael Vick breaks his leg in preseason. A bad beat is when Barry Sanders retires a month before the season starts. A bad beat is not drafting poorly.Man, I'm not coming on here trying to lie. just being as honest as possible because i think it is therapeutic when you feel as crappy as i do about taking a "bad beat" so to speak.I thought there were a lot of leagues with $400, $500, $750 entry fees, etc.Is there even such a thing as a $500 league stocked with guppies? Those two don't seem to go together. I find that part of the story hard to believe. When the guppies pulled out the knives and forks, I guess you didn't know that shark was on the menu. That's a tough $500 lesson you just learned.
my other two are with HS and college friends and we have always just done $100.
Lewis reached those numbers (1200/10) once with the Ravens. He got 1300 yards twice as well, but only 6 TD's. Those seasons were during the best years for the Ravens OL. I realize it's a homer pick but there were better RB options even if you didn't want to go WR.Can you give me the winning numbers for this weeks Mega Millions also please? Thanks in advance! You won't be.Yup, 9 of the first 10 picks were rb's, I wasn't thrilled with the pick, but at pick 11 there were no RB's I felt any better about still on the board. I think he can produce 1200-1400 and 10-14 tds and if he gets in that area I will be very happy with him.So you took McGahee at 1.11 as your RB1 in a redraft?Yes, sorry thought I mentioned that.![]()

In the future you might want to spend a lot less time focusing on "value" and more on getting good players(regardless of whether or not you have to "reach" for them). The reality is that the best starting lineup wins. The better yours is, the better your team will be.Have you ever drafted with guppies and left with the sick feeling that you didn't really take advantage of their stupidness enough because you were too worried about value? This was a 12 person redraft (Keep 1). I took Norwood in the 14th last year, so I got to retain him for a 14th round pick. Some CHICK got to retain T Henry from last year with her 13th round pick. Look at some of these picks/reaches.an injured torry holt at 2.02todd heap at 04.04tony gonzalez at 04.05 shockey at 04.07(guess i started a little TE run when I took A Gates with the first pick of the fourth round. these guys all started freaking out thinking now they needed a TE)romo at 05.01dallas DEF at 05.04wes welker at 05.11randy mcmichael at 07.07 (by the chick that picked shockey in the 4th.)it gets even crazier in the later rounds..just straight stupid picks. now i'm sitting here with my wang in my hand wondering what happened, though. I look at my team and don't like it because i didn't think about drafting a team as much as i was so happy to get certain players in certain spot that i went with the Matt Millen "best player on the board" strategy.1.12 R Bush2.1 W McGahee3.12 TJ Housh4.1 A Gates5.12 Calvin Johnson6.1 Julius Jones7.12 Joey Galloway8.01 Fred Taylor9.12 Greg Jennings10.1 Warrick Dunn11.12 Brandon Jones12.1 Kevin Jones13.12 Chad Pennington14.1 Jerrious Norwood (keeper)15.12 Olinda Mare16.1 OAK D
The only thing worse than a guy that prefaces a statement with "I know this sounds sexist, but..." is the guy who is so emasculated that he would actually call you "sexist".Something is not right here1. As mentioned before guppies don't pay $500 to play ff2. I know this sounds sexist, but I have never in my life met a chick that would even consider paying $500 to play ff.
