I Hate Bernard Berrian (1 Viewer)

I drafted him as an extra WR. He scored 1 point the first week on my bench.

When Burleson went out, I thought, let's give him another week, started him and got a big fat 0.

Dropped him Week 3.

He's scored at 7-20 points every week since.

Don't you hate those guys that seem to go off the minute they exit your roster? :football:

Shouldn't you be hating Tavaris Jackson more??

overreact much? He was hurt a lil, but they gave him gobs of money. Plus he's a speed threat deep who has show the ability to haul em in. Even in Chicago. And he's now on turf.

No ones fault but your own.

Just cut breaston and picked up berrian off WW. Obviously frerotte has developed agreat chemistry with him and when sid rice comes back this week it gives them a pretty good WR corps (berrian, rice, wade, shiancoe) and with ADP running the ball it is all systems go for berrian. Remember that berrian made grossman look like a good QB in CHI and we all know there is not much truth to that. But to answer your ?, I think you only hate him if you did not keep him on your roster

:D Nothing like 20/20 hindsight? At the time I dropped him, I didn't see any posts here at all that supported him.

He was on my bench til Gus went in, when I thought he'd get more looks. He did. Watch the matchups.

That was the one factor that made me think to keep him. But he was dropping passes at the time, too.I rolled the dice and came up wrong. But I don't think that anyone can honestly say that they expected him to go off like he has the last month.

Each and every one of us, every now and then, NEEDS a thread like this, where we can just blow off some steam...

...that being said, rather than creating another one and since it's somewhat related, I'm going to use yours and say that I hate Sidney Rice more!

lol, I did the exact same thing you did - dropped him the same week even ...

in weeks one and two I think I was the only poster in about 2 threads on berrien and his news/injury status. It was surreal. You did see te injury reports, struggling vikes O and sick vikes D though, right? That said. Depending on precisely when you dropped him if it preceded the tavarous benching.and not 20/20 hindsight. I kept him and stached him on my bench in one of my leagues. I am curious who you dropped him for. at least another owner didnt swindle you for it. But I bet that guy loved the waiver wire that week.

:cry:he was a free agent for chissakes? Ever hear of a period of adjustment/rapport with new team (especially with very green qb at the time)

I did eventually drop him begrudgingly around week 3-4. But that was more based on him.

I did consider everything - new team, Frerotte replacing Tarvaris, the preseason injury, etc.But the reports were unimpressive with regard to his hands and he didn't get many targets the first two games, either.I dropped him for Patten NO who was getting a lot of action with Colston out. Unfortunately he pulled his groin right away.I picked up Engram from the Waiver wire and then Hasselbeck went out. Oh well.Berrian was a free agent until last week when someone picked him up.I'm glad to hear that he worked out OK for you.My other 3 are Fitzgerald, Bowe and Hines Ward so I'm doing just fine there.
