I'm in a 10 team PPR league with a 3-3 record and I have L Bell and Forte for my two RBs. I have Powell cuffed and I picked up Devontae Booker and Jacquizz Rodgers hoping for them to get bigger roles as the season progresses. But right now Forte is killing me so I really need to find a new RB2 for my lineup and I'm wondering if Jay Ajayi may be just what I need and so now is the time to spend my #1 waiver claim I've been sitting on all season. Thanks for any advice you have!

I think Ajayi is fool's gold personally. He still has Foster with a much more proven track record, albiet a much more proven injury history too. But we're not that far away from the beginning of the season, when Ajayi was a healthy scratch, didn't travel with the team Week 1, and looked to be in the doghouse. I just think that with Ajayi, you're gonna start him next week since he blew up this week, and he'll put up a dud and Foster will get all the work. Then he'll go back to the bench, and have another big week down the line, fooling everyone into starting him again. It's gonna be chasing points all year. No thanks
I would if i were absolutely desperate for a running back which you are not. Martin didn't train yesterday and if he doesn't go on the weekend then you have a starter in Rodgers in a solid match up plus Gary Kubiack said yesterday about giving Booker more work. I'd stick with what I have and wait for a better option to burn my claim on.

I don't know man--I'm not sure what might come along that's better at this point. If you need an RB2, I'd go get Ajayi. I have Forte as well for my 10-team, but we can only roster 4 backs. I considered cutting Forte for Ajayi tonight but opted not to. If we had flexible rostering, I'd for sure grab him and cut any of a couple other players who are taking up roster spots.
Update on this one...I decided to pass on using my waiver claim although it was a difficult choice because I agree with BigBlue at this point something better may not come along. Even so I decided not to pull the trigger. Then this morning i jumped out of bed at 6 am, checked my league and guess what NOBODY had picked him off waivers!!!! So I immediately grabbed him as a free agent, kept my #1 waiver wire position...and felt great about it all day long!
