Who is your email provider? The first thing I would check is whether they are being marked as spam.

Comcast here...no emails either. I'm guessing that Comcast's spam filter thinks footballguys.com is a spam host. Hmmm, not cool. The easiest way for this to be fixed would be for an administrator of FBGs contact Comcast and fill them in on what's going on. Unless one of us wants to sit on hold for 2 hours to talk to a Comcast rep who won't do jack for us anyway.

Funniest thing is that the ONLY this I get is random "Random Shots" and that is the only thing unchecked in my prferences.I would love to get the emails but I have officially given up. well hey, i'm not alone. yeah, i have mine set to only "all breaking news"... every once in a while i'll resubmit my email preferences in the dim hope that it actually might work that time around. i've also given up... unless whatever mod helps you out feels like helping out a new paying subscriber as well.

Dude, we were just trying to help people out, a lot of people know about spam filters and how they work but some people don't. I don't understand how you can get worked up and HATE posts that are just providing advice. I'm sure FBG has occasional problems with email updates but I'd bet that most of the problems are caused on the subscriber's end (either with their filters or with their providers). If you want to be sure you get your updates you should use a service that does GOOD spam filtering like gmail and not use something like comcast that might block all email from certain senders.

also, make sure your computer is on. it can't receive email if it's off. HTH.

I'll make sure our Keith has seen this. Email is progressively getting less and less reliable. Yahoo continues to be terrible. It's primarily spam that's the cause as everyone wants to filter spam. But that means legit email gets caught too. We raise the flags as we send so many mails out at one time. It really sucks. Some companies are responsive in helping our mail get to them. Some like Yahoo are beyond pathetic. We jumped through every hoop they set before us multiple times all summer and still have major troubles.

Dude, if you read the entire thread, the 7th post says please don't ask if we have checked the spam filter. I also tried NOT to be offensive by asking people not to take it the wrong way. Sorry to state my opinion. I hope I can do better in the future.

Yes, we had a problem sending mails to Comcast addresses from Wednesday until late Friday. I've been working on the problems that were reported in the Website Questions forum here:

I didn't see this thread until Joe pointed it out to me a few minutes ago.

I put in a fix last night and almost all of the pending emails to Comcast have been delivered now.

However, some Comcast accounts have been set to 'held' status on our mailing list because of repeated failures to deliver messages. If you have a Comcast address and are still not receiving FBG emails, please PM me your subscriber login and I'll take a look.
