I bid $2 and I got him... wow; is he finished and I haven't heard about it yet...

I already had Heap and Watson as TEs in that league but couldn't let anyone else get this type of value.

Fighting with a bad groin problem all preseason and season so far. His value is pretty down there as he doesn't have the speed or ability to cut to get him the yards. Plus McNabb seems to have his knee brace on his arm at the moment so that isn't helping.

For two bucks, not bad, later in the year he could blow up and you just avoided a opponent from getting him

Yes.. both games have been on TV in my market... and its clear that Philly need a healthy LJ back on the field to keep some of these Drives alive. Westy can't do it all... he already breaking down.

Someone in one of my leagues dropped him this week as well, so I was wondering the same thing. Is his injury supposed to get better soon, or will it be chronic all season? I understand McNabb can't hardly hit the ocean from the beach half the time right now, but I would still think LJ has some upside for later in the season unless there's more to the situation than I know. He goes through waivers tonight so I'm weighing whether or not to stash him instead of Bo Scaife.

The thing with LJ is that hes in a contract year and the Eagles don't seem to have any plans of resigning him at the moment... hes not going to go on the field, risk his season, and then be SOL next off-season. You really can't blame the guy, we all seen how the league works. LJ usually play through these little injuries... but this time, he wants to get better and be 100%; however... the Coach wants him out there now.

I dropped him myself, not paying enough attention to TE news, I missed the hernia surgery on LJ Smith, these types of surgery take a while to heal from. I expect nothing from Smith this year. I dont think it would be a stretch to see him get put on the IR at some point.

Answer = BO SCIAFE

So it's better during a contract year to play less, especially when you're recovering from surgery, and let everyone assume that the injury is serious enough to keep you off the field? :shrug: To me, the greatest impetus for him to go out and perform is the fact that it's a contract year. It's the one hope I have for him.
