I know always start your studs, BUT Darrelle Revis held Andre Johnson to 4 catches for 35 yards last year. Revis looks like he's back to 100% after that hamstring injury...only giving up 1 catch for 13 yards to Calvin Johnson. I believe he only gave up 1 catch against the Browns as well......they have a history, not a good one for AJ, can we bench this mega stud in this matchup??? Chime in!

Revis gave up one (it was a big ONE) reception this week. Honestly, they didn't mention him more than twice the whole game. Granted it was against Stuckey/MoMass/et al, but he did shut down CJ the week before. Start at your own risk, but I'd still start AJ. He's way too good to ever sit

Revis is a very good CB but AJ is a better WR. Revis was supreme last year but that was his contract year. In the lions game the scoring was low and Lions didn't have to force the ball to CJ much. But this game is different, Texans couldn't stop anyone's passing attack they will have to force the ball to AJ stock pile up a lead while tiring out defenses and hope the other teams makes more mistake in offense than they do due to increased plays, just like colts and saints or else they will lose in the last quarter very time. Shoot out city or lose for the Texans from now on. Watch Jets shut down Foster early, takes advantage of Texans rancid pass D, piling up on passing yards and scores as well, let's see who does it better. 27-23 Jets If texans decide to stick to their running game? 24-13 Jets

No it wasn't. Also, not sure what you mean about "not having to force the ball to CJ." I'm sure the Lions wanted to, it just wasn't feasible with Revis on him.

Aj owner. My first thought is to sit him and flex Moreno. Revis is the only defender in the game that I even think about matchups when I set a lineup but there is enough proven history with Revis to make me consider my options.

All 3 of these statements are incorrect - I'll admit the first one is at least defensible and therefore debateable.Revis was NOT in a contract year last year - he had 3 more years left on the deal.The Lions game being low scoring was not the reason CJ didn't see the ball. How does that even make sense? Because the game wasn't a shoot out, they decided that Nate Burleson was the way to go?Personally I do think there's a good chance that Revis shuts down Andre Johnson as he's looked very good now that he's healthy - although last week there wasn't really anyone worth covering on the Browns. However with that said all it takes is for one big play to make you regret bencing AJ - so it really comes down to your options.In the re-draft where I own AJ I may sit him this week (still undecided). I can play Fitzgerald and Jennings at WR - so I may play Felix Jones against a weak Detroit run defense instead of AJ at the flex.

Seems like AJ is finally healthy now. In his last 4 games, he's got 428 yards and 3 TDs. this will be a tough call

I usually roll with AJ and Foster so if the Texans favor pass or favor the run, Im covered points wise. I will do the same for this game aswell.

There's a lot of receivers I might bench vs. the Jets/Revis, but it'd be guys that I would normally be debating about otherwise. Really, you are saying AJ isn't one of your 3 best WRs that week. Not too many leagues where I imagine that is legit.

I'd be lying if I said I was excited about it, but rolling with AJ as well. My only other options are M. Floyd (possibly) vs. Denver and Mike Williams SEA @ the #1 ranked Saints pass D. To play devil's advocate, this is the Texans' season. I think we see a very inspired effort and also have a hunch they don't shy away from the Andre/Revis matchup.

I don't own AJ in any leagues, but if I had him I'd start him. The Texans do a great job of moving AJ into different positions on the field, including playing him from the slot a lot. If I were the Texans play caller, I would put him in the slot all day and hope he draws coverage from Kyle Wilson or Drew Coleman, neither of whom look very good.

Despite the fact that Aj had something like 4/35 against him last time they played and Revis appears to be shutting down every WR? I'm not trying to diasgree. As an AJ owner, I WANT to roll him out there and watch him conduct mass carnage but playoff spots are on the line and it seems like teams with flex options have to really ponder this one. Yeah, if AJ goes out and post 6/112/2, there are a lot of sick AJ owners out there. But when is the last time ANYONE put up a line like that on Revis? The AJ owner ahs to be looking at their Morenos and Felixs and Fred Jacksons, and Jabar gaffneys and making a tough call.

Just wondering..................is Revis back to completely blanketing 1 WR? I know that in the Denver game he was covering different WR throughout the game. I don't know if that was because of his injury or not.

IMO, you start AJ unless you are blessed with other similar options to plug in. Guys like Nicks and Megatron who I will be starting over him this week.
I definitely wouldn't bench him for some of the players mentioned in this thread like Felix, Moreno, Fred Jackson, etc.
