I think Deion could be the next broadcast booth star... (1 Viewer)

I know he doesn't speak the Queen's English so to speak, but I think his observations are on point and he injects life into the booth with good humor. In short, he's entertaining to listen to, but also balances that with astute game observations.

Just figured I'd share...

:lmao:

Supposedly Deion was always the most prepared cornerback on the field through all of the film study he did every week. You would never know it based on his schtick.

Yeah, I agree on Deion. The guy is so charismatic. But somebody, please put a sock in Sterling Sharpe's mouth......This guy talks way too much........

I hate the guy with a passion and his "plz get TO the ball early" speech every week on the highlight show...

I do agree that he comes thru with some surprisingly insightful comments sometimes.

 Sharpe couldn't call a game to save his life. Play after play after play he doesn't say anything during the play while it is developing, only after it is over or nearly over. Horrible.Letting Sharpe call the game is like letting Kornheiser call a game on MNF. Faulk should be calling it, with Deion being the analyst and Sharpe being the booth stooge.

lol @ Sanders good or "charismatic." I guess I could see that for those who really really love the circus. Oh well to each their own.

Like I said in the game thread, Deion Sanders would be high on the list of people I would consider to play-by-play my everyday life. He's the man. His TV show is hilarious, too, if obviously staged sometimes.

:goodposting: There was an NFL Network game 2 seasons ago where **** Vermeil lost his voise and something happened to Gumbel, I don't remember what, but Deion and Marshall Faulk ended up calling the game and I thought they were great, Deion especially. I'd like to hear him call games every week.

Sure... he was the tool that called out LT for not playing when he was simply too banged up to contribute last year in the playoffs. If he is the "next booth star", it will be because knuckleheads that like noise over substance like him. Wear that hat, if it fits.

Whether you agree with his stance or not - how many of the talking heads would call out one of the bigger stars in the league? All too often, you simply get alot of sugar coat commentary and Deion doesn't subscribe to that school of thought. To me, that's refreshing. In addition, particularly in the passing game (because that's what he knows) he gives some very good insight. Tonight, he made mention of the shoulder you have to play at the pro level versus the college game and the adjustment McKelvin is having to go through in that transition. That's good insight to me about how the game is played.
