I took Eddie Lacy 1.01 in 0.5 PPR. Anyone else with me? (1 Viewer)

Where you at Larry!?
Are you really self-bumping after 4 crappy games and one good one, like this was a good call? It's obvious that Lacy will get some scoring opportunities in that offense. It's equally obvious that he's a mediocre back who shouldn't have been taken #1 overall.
Do you mean like all the chest thumping that happened prior to last nights game? What about his 8+ypc, 100+ yards, 3/3 receptions and 2 TDs made him look obviously mediocre to you?
James Starks had a game last year with 168 total yards, four receptions and a TD. So what? It's not hard to run when there are gaps all over the place.

This was his first game (out of 5) where he topped 3.5 ypc this year. That's mediocre. Trent Richardson beat that twice in the first four games. Has Eddy Lacy shown he's better than Rashad Jennings or Alfred Morris? No.
Having a "mediocre" start to the season does not make him a mediocre back.

I agree....its not about how you start, its about how you finish.

Let's keep the conversation of the posts relative to the actual topic of the thread. The topic of the thread is if the OP was crazy to take Lacy at 1.01 in a 0.5 ppr draft. I posted on this thread before the season started if anybody cares to go back and read it--but in any case---to keep the topic in line--if there was a fantasy draft today--would you still take Lacy at 1.01 5 weeks into the year (over 1/3 of the way into the fantasy season?). Last nights performance was a huge step in the right direction for Lacy--but I think most would still agree that taking him at 1.1 was probably too ambitious back then--and it's probably too ambitious now. However, the fantasy world is a fluid world--and three weeks from now--it could be a different story--so let's just ride things out a bit.

Even after last night...Id say similar to what I said earlier.

No way I would take him 1.01 in PPR. I had at least Forte, Charles, and McCoy ahead of him then. Still would put them ahead in PPR...obviously Murray now is up there.

But looking forward, there are not many more Id put ahead of lacy in the situation and with the defenses they have coming up (and seeing him involved in the passing game some here and there).

He is a top 5-10 back from here on out easily IMO.

yes, he has actually.

Heading into week 5 last year, Lacy was ranked in the 40s among RB. The rest of the year he was #5. Those who were patient or bought low will be rewarded.

I'm a big lacy fan and supporter but in hindsight I don't k ow if I'd take lacy at 2.1 even. He had a good game last night for sure but dude needs some serious conditioning. May or may not be in a rb be depending on Lacy health or conditioning and or gameflow. I'm not looking to sell low in leagues where I own him . Mostly because he plays on gb. Fwiw

What makes you think he needs conditioning?

Didn't look too winded in that game as he was ripping off runs last night...nor did he last year when everyone went off a bad angled picture claiming he was just fat and out of shape.
