Just thinking about the book. I wonder if it's hit a snag in Hollywood all these years because people just don't get a Catholic in New Orleans.

Bucket List: Visit New Orleans.

The Myrna Minkoff/Ignatius identity politics debates get at something larger than life. They're incredible.

The book.

:lmao:   :lmao:

My wife put this on via audio book on a road trip we were on.  Enjoyed it. She's smarter than me.  "O Fortuna spun me low" is said once a week at my house.

New Orleans would be bad for your drinking habit. The bars never close. They stop selling alcohol for an hour to clean up, but you don't have to leave. They let you know beforehand so you can order enough drinks to get you through an hour.

On the other hand, they have the best food in the USA. EVERYTHING is good, from 5 star restaurants to food trucks on the street.

I hope they have Grape Juice.

Call them like I see them.

Posthumous BS.
I'll accept it, but still disagree. I found it hilarious in my twenties. It's a revolutionary book for dissecting modern manners, and Toole was probably the best comedic author of the latter half of the twentieth. I wonder who else could be better.
