I work from home (1 Viewer)

I used to work from home on Wednesdays and remember it being a flurry of activity from 6 AM to 6PM getting mountains of work done...

All so I could goof off on Thursday and leave early on Friday. :bag:

The other part about working from home, like I am today... is training the family that just because I am here working, does not mean I am suddenly free to take on extra tasks around the house, run errands for hours at a time etc. My wife used to say "Enjoy your day off" on her way out the door while I had already been working for a couple of hours and clearly surrounded by a ton of work...... :wall:   At least she doesn't do that anymore.... and yes, I am looking forward to the gym during "lunch"

NO ONE HAS EVER UTTER THE PHRASE - "I need a few minutes I'm finishing up my deck".  NEVER

"I'm finishing up my slide(s)"

"I'm finishing up my presentation"

"I'm finishing up my Power Point"
You have no idea how wrong you are.

But I agree that it is a really stupid word to use instead of presentation or PowerPoint.

I hate that folks think that just because we are WFH that we're not doing anything.  Like many of you have said here, I get way more done at home than I would in the office.

Been full time WFH since 2008.
I've been doing it for four years. My days are super variable in terms of productivity. When I have to be productive, I get a lot more done than I would in an office. When I don't...I don't,

I work in corporate A/V and it took me a while to get used to because on Long Island where I started, everyone calls it a powerpoint or slides. In Manhattan, almost everyone calls it a deck, especially in the financial industry. "I don't have a deck for you yet", I'm just finishing up working on my deck",etc.  It's the norm.

Honestly - the best part for me WFH - is putting the TV on.

If I had a TV at work I'd probably get way more work done.   I love it as background noise over music
