Ian Kennedy-- fantasy wise (1 Viewer)

NY/NJMFDIVER

I'm a Yank homer and want to fall in love with my fantasy teams, but I bagged him at pick 301 of a 14 teamer and I'm pretty excited going forward from a fantasy perspective.

Where has he been going in your leagues and what do you see going forward?

I could see:

14-9

4.35

150 K's, 50 bb in 160 innings

Unless he sucks and gets sent back to the minors....he'll get wins. I think he'll be all over the board....some games looking excellent and some struggling. You have him going on average over 6 innings a decision. How many total starts do you think he gets.

I would set the over/under for starts at 30, and I think he goes over. 31-32 starts. 32 starts x 5 innings per start - 160 innings.I don't get this inning thing now though, it seems like 2 years ago, the pitch count thing was all the vogue. You can definately have 140 HARD innings and 170 easy ones, I think thats something that needs to be evaluated game to game, but shouldn't be a strictly scientific shutoff point.

Agreed.

I would rather be searching for quality middle reliever's when Kennedy's name is at the top of my SP queue. He's going to be too inconsistent for my tastes, some good games, some adventures, and I wouldn't expect much in the K dept. In shallower leagues he's replacement level with greater win potential than average.
