I'd Rather Let My Son Die... (1 Viewer)

I've just decided that my religion dictates that I don't scoop snow. God put it there for a reason and will take it away when he's ready.

As ridiculous as that is.........................your beliefs seem to be about on par with many religious beliefs :nerd:

Soul, crazy. Honestly a religious nut like that is more bordering on psychosis. Little does she know (we know, but I bet she doesnt) that if she had been born to some other family her religious beliefs would be totally different and she wouldn't have to worry about whether or not it is a good idea to give blood to keep her kid alive.

Personally, I am as far away from religion as possible. I really want nothing to do with it. However, I do realize how important it is for a lot of people and some of the good things it does for kids and people. I also respect other peoples beliefs (as long as they keep it to themselves), but for something like this, frankly, you are a bad person if you put a belief above your kid. You aren't being spiritual, or a saint or whatever you think you are being. You are being a horrible person.

FBG lawyers - Is there a way we can legally tie her down to draw blood if need be? The defense being it was necessary to save a life?
Legally, no, but #### it, Dude.

I have an 8th grade math student who is a little weird, she does alright in class but is like 1 off...if your dial is set to 12:00, hers is somewhere around 10:45.

So I am at my desk and she approaches me and invites me to a meeting as she opens up one of those Jehova's Witness pamphlets. On the one hand she thinks enough of me to want to try and "save me" but on the other hand I was offended but trying hard not to. It falls on my birthday so I politely declined but there is about 0% chance I will ever schedule a parent/teacher conference, we know what is going to be walking thru that door.
Not for nothing, but if my dial is set to 12:00, yours is somewhere around Jupiter's 38th moon.
