IDP possible cuts? (1 Viewer)

I'm brand new to IDP this year and I've been reading quite a bit and it seems I might have a guy or two on my roster that might be a cut.  

Mario Edwards Jr. DE (OAK) - From what I've read he doesn't play the strong side unless he takes over for Mack's duties when he moves to LB (Is that even happening?), but I don't know.  He seems like a good name to keep though.

Johnathan Hankins DT (NYG) - I admit I know nothing about the DT, but they seem to score very little and his points are poor from last year.  But I saw he got hurt after what looked like a pretty strong 2014, just curious as to the player himself if he's worth rostering.  *Also on roster Linval Joseph (MIN)

JPP DE (NYG) -  Same thing as Hankins, Although I think I know a little more.  Is his hand a problem or is he still considered very good?  He was hurt as well and the easiest way for a new guy to IDP like myself to compare him with is through points cause I'm not that knowledgeable right now.  And he doesn't have a lot of those, even though he finished #2 DE in 2014.  *Also on roster Cliff Avril (SEA), Everson Griffin (MIN), Robert Nkemdiche (ARZ)

Those are my only questions as I think I have CB figured out where it's more about paying attention through the year and I can grab someone.  I also have 3 top 10 LB's that I'm very confident in.

Scoring is:

Forced fumbles - 2 points, INT's - 3 points, Tackles - 1 point, Sacks - 1.5 point for every .5 sack, Defended passes - 2 points

Must start 1 DT, 2DE, 3 LB, 2 CB, 2S and 1flex

Hard to tell you what to do without knowing how many you have to cut, or who you might be able to sign instead.

All three of those have some fantasy value...I might put them JPP > Edwards > Hankins for dynasty purposes, but youre right that Edwards doesnt look like a strong immediate play.  Actually, seeing you are DT-required, I think I bump Hankins ahead of Edwards.

I wouldn't just automatically cut any of those guys unless you are improving somewhere else.  Do you have to cut someone?  It's easier to advise if you have the players you are adding so there is some sort of comparison. 

As stated they all have some value at this point but I would rank JPP>>>>Edwards/Hankins

I don't have to cut anyone no.  There was a couple of guys I was considering adding in their place is all.  1 was on offense (Tyler Ervin), 1 was Brandon Williams (DT BAL), 1 was Kony Ealy (DE CAR).

If this is a redraft league I would drop Edwards for Ealy right away.  Edwards is a talent but he is hurt and hasn't really panned out to this point.  He is worth holding in dynasty formats but in a redraft I would let him go. 

Williams and Hankins are fairly similar so it would be a coin flip for me.  I kind of like Williams but that's because I had him last year and saw more of him than Hankins.
