Per the IDP show, excellent as always.

One question that I have is whether or not you think Antonio Cromartie who was recently traded to the Jets for a minimum of a third round pick next year will still be the early season starter over rookie first round pick Kyle Wilson on the corner starting opposite Darrelle Revis?I felt that Rodgers would blow up before the selection of Wilson because he was a monster in San Diego before he teams started to avoid him and before he got injured and decided to father scads of illegitimate children, and his other off-field issues began to take a toll. I think he has potential to be a short-term IDP stud early in the season if he can fend off the challenge of Wilson.I completely agree with the views expressed on the IDP program that Wilson is the long term dynasty play but do you think Cromartie has the potential to be a short team IDP stud or do you not give him any shot to keep Wilson off the field or do you think that the Jets would split time between Wilson and Cromartie or even move Cromartie to the nickel/3rd CB and start the rookie? Also do you know of any injury issues with Antonio that I may have missed or have you heard anything negative that would basically give the starting job to Wilson? I feel that if Rex makes it an open competition and if Cromartie is healthy or their isn't anything negative hanging over his head then it seems like he would get lots of opportunities starting opposite Revis Island and he could be a short-term IDP stud. Agree/disagree and what are your thoughts on Cromartie's potential to be an early season short-term IDP stud?
Thanks for listening. We love doing the show and everyone's kind words are very much appreciated.I think that Cromartie could have a very nice 2010, for many of the same reasons that I like Wilson long term. I haven't heard anything about a lingering (or new) injury to Cromartie and I think the Jets intend to let Wilson grow into the starting position if Cromartie plays well enough to allow them that luxury. So I expect Cromartie to play every down.I hadn't noticed that he's going to be a free agent in 2011 and I'm big on contract year players, so Cromartie deserves a second look for me. If he shows some interest in tackling, he could easily be a CB1 opposite Revis. When and if he starts looking like Chris Gamble v2008, he should be dealt for value. Injury history or not, I've not seen enough consistency in run support or coverage to trust him to repeat any 2010 production over the long term.
