Honestly depending on the size of your league and roster requirements I wouldn't even worry about DE/DB. Many DEs need a yr or 2 before they breakout and you can always find them in the WW. Most people that draft a DE in their rookie give up on them by the 3Q mark of the season anyway. The only league I hold young DEs in is my 16 teamer that requires a start 3 so its actually hard to find anything startable on the WW. In that league I usually hold 5 - 6 at a time.

DBs don't even care, theres always something in the pool. Once you scoop a stud you hold on to him but for the most part I never hold a young up and coming DB, rather use the spot on something else.

LB on the other hand is the position you need to be alert on. Keep your eyes on which teams have older LBs and contract situations; also this time of yr coaches will begin giving guys an audition to see what they got and if they need to draft the position again during the off-season. Perfect example is Jonas Mouton SD LB, 2nd rd pick in 2011 and hasn't touch a football field yet. The starter in front of him is out this week and the other 2 guys hes mixed with on the depth chart are old and pretty much done. Pick him before the game this weekend in case he goes off; if he looks good you hold him. If he looks like poop u toss him back.

Thanks KellysHeroes!

Great movie by the way!

My defense has been pretty solid, but I realize Hayward and Jackson need to be improved. We start 1-2 DT 2-3 DE 3-4 LB 2-3 CD and 2-3 S.

My other current DEs are: Bierman, W Smith and I have Olivier Vernon as well.

CBs I have J McCourty, Skrine, Verner, Wilson

I have been hit hard on the LB front losing S Lee, and DJ Smith as well a Keene Robinson, But have Brinkley, AJ Hawk Weatherspoon and picked up Ellerbee, Waldon Craig Robertson and took a flyer on Trevathen which hasnt resulted in much.

I am in the playoffs so have a bid on Ahmad Brooks - but also looking to the future as I have 3 additional open roster spots and can also make trades in the offseason.

So as IDP is still new figured that would be where I would look to stash players if possible. I will check on Mouton and see what happens!

Cheers,

B

Guys you should also look for are K Sheppard from Buf and Dom Davis from NYJ, both will see an increase in playing time next yr. DDavis has already begun over taking Scott

As someone in your league (ODB), and also in the playoffs, I'm recommending DTs as the way to go. Can never have enough DTs IMO. :)
