If Boller starts... (1 Viewer)

Steve McNair is a game time decision, and whoever faces the Rams could be worth a start. There's a lot of teams off this week and a lot of QBs hurt. If Boller were to start, he'd be in a group of "cover the bye" QBs along with Huard, Griese, Harrington, Lemon and Frerotte.

Boller has some decent weapons at his disposal, a good RB to keep the defense honest, and an arm to get the ball down the field, plus a defense that should get him the ball in good position all day long. However, the Ravens could just rely on the run all day, and Boller has been a backup for a reason.

Where do you see Boller in comparison to these guys if he starts?

I'd put him on my bench. But, I have considered him this week. I like Griese, Huard, Harrington of that group. If none of those guys were available and you had to go with Boller, then good luck.

Some of those guys are available, some aren't. I didn't want to get into which as I don't want to turn this into a WDIS thread. Was more looking for a general outlook on Boller and a context in which to compare how he might do, since most rankings still have McNair listed.

Huard by a large margin. I would also start Huard over mcNair.

That's the way I was leaning (and the way my lineup is now)... just thought I should explore all options. Nice to see somebody agrees though. :)
