If McFadden falls to Denver... (1 Viewer)

Many recent mocks have placed McFadden outside the top 7, falling all the way to Denver at #12 overall. While DMac is still considered the best RB prospect by most, but certainly not all, in FBG nation, where do you place his overall value in dynasty leagues should be be suiting up with the Broncos, as opposed to the Raiders, Jets, or Bears? I see him becoming a top 5 dynasty RB with Denver, whereas he would be closer to top 10 should he go to one of the aforementioned teams.

Through the roof short term, but Denver RBs will continue to drive fantasy owners crazy. Denver changes starting RBs more than I change my socks. That will never change as long as Shanny is the coach.

I can't see Denver taking McFadden with their other needs. They'll be fine at RB, just like they always have.

While I really dont see it happening. I dont see McFadden falling quite that far. All the way to 12. If Denver were to somehow get ahold of him. Probably by moving up 3 or 4 or 5 spots to get him. I think his value would then be off the charts. With the scheme, Shanahan's brilliance in designing schemes and plans, and his mastery of utilizing talent, Id expect at the very least top 10 #s. At the very least. McFadden strikes me as far more of a one-cut runner than Adrian Peterson. Peterson is just full of shake and bake. McFadden bounces or hits that one hole or makes that one cut, and BOOM. He's gone. One of the only places Id expect him to be a legitimate top 10 back next year.

They could take McFadden but you better handcuff that 7th round or UDFA they pick up because you know shannys ego of "i can make anyone a good RB" still reigns there

2002 2629 total rushing yards

2003 2333

2004 2539

2005 2152

2006 1957

Denver's mantle as plug-and-play RB manufacturers is not quite as unchallenged as was the case a year or two ago. Oakland actually had more rushing yards last season.

I don't see it happening; shanny almost never takes a RB first because he can take one in the second or third or even FA and get good production. I see them taking one of the second tier RBs in the third and THAT guy WILL have value, at least for the year.

It would raise his stock through the roof as the perception is that Denver RB is fantasy football gold.

I think he'll be the next Tatum Bell if he goes there. :moneybag:

That is hogwash. If a RB can produce well and stay healthy, he will remain the starter. That has never changed under Shanahan. Look at how Terrell Davis and Clinton Portis performed when they were the starters. It isn't Shanny's fault that he is always having to change RBs because his number one at the time either gets hurt or stops producing. Make no bones about it, though...when he has a stud RB who produces, Shanahan feeds him the ball.

You're dreaming. I'd give you a Million to 1 odds on this. No chance Denver takes McFadden.
You're on. Put me down for 20 bucks.
Be prepared to just get your 20 smack-a-roos back. Somehow I have a sneak suspicion that he won't be paying it out.

There's only been a couple times the past several years (since Portis was traded) that Shanny had a shot at a top RB:

2004 when he passed on Steven Jackson for D.J. Williams.

2006 when he passed on Maroney for Cutler.
