If S. Smith gets hurt, who's the WR to have? (1 Viewer)

Looking at how Delhomme has made fantasy studs out of his #1 WR, and I have virtually no shot at getting S. Smith, I'm going after the incumbent #1 WR should Smith go down with injury. The depth chart tells me K. Johnson will be the guy, but I'm not sure he can carry the load, work through double teams, and put up the kind of numbers Smith and Muhammad did as #1 Wrs in this system.

Drew Carter or Keary Colbert would be the other options. Anyone with insight as to who would take over the #1 WR spot if Stevie went down with injury. Could pay off big time if you can land this guy.

I like Carter and I think he's the more natural WR1. Colbert is Keyshawn's backup and doesn't really fit the style of taking over for Smith.

Drew Carter may be the one who replaces Smith in the lineup, but I would think that Keyshawn would get the increase in targets - coupled with more dumpoffs to the backs.

Deep routes, Carter would be the man of course, but depending when it happened, Keyshawn could see over 100 receptions, as the go-to guy. Key is one of the guys who seems overrated, but is very underrated in FF.

gotta be Keyshawn. He's essentially the Muhsin replacement, and when Smith went down in 04 Muhsin got all of the targets. I don't think Smith's backup will see nearly as many balls if Smith goes down.
