If team "X" drafts position "Y", (1 Viewer)

For example, if the Colts draft a WR, I will be looking to add him to my bench/taxi squad without even knowing where he went to college or what round he was drafted. Works the same if they acquire a young undrafted FA.

If the Packers, Chargers, Texans, Patriots, Colts or Cowboys take a WR I'm immediatley paying attention regardless of what I thought of that player previously.

I thought of Stevan Ridley as an undrafted talent before the draft, but after the pats took him, I started to change my opinion on him, if BB will take him in the 3rd there must be something there. Then I looked at him a little closer and upgraded my value on him from undrafted to 5th rounder.

I'll take Packers QBs as fliers. Rodgers, Brooks, Hass, Brunell. A lot of busts too but aside from Brohm, none were taken early.

Not sure why everyone gets so excited when the Pats draft a skill player. Here's a list of all the skill players they've taken since 2003

Gronkowski (2nd)

Taylor Price (3rd)

Hernandez (4th)

Brandon Tate (3rd)

Edelman (7th)

Matt Slater (5th)

Hairston (6th)

Maroney (1st)

Chad Jackson (2nd)

David Thomas (3rd)

Garrett Mills (4th)

Andy Stokes (7th)

Ben Watson (1st)

Cedric Cobbs (4th)

P.K. Sam (5th)

Bethel Johnson (2nd)

Spencer Nead (7th)

Aside from the TEs from last year, there isn't a significant player on that list. In fact, if anything, you may want to steer clear of guys drafted by the Pats based on the last several years. And some of those guys were pretty high picks.

how about a discussion on the opposite too? For example, I won't bother drafting any WR that BAL drafts because they are unable to properly draft and develop a receiver.

Great topic and underrated method of evaluating fantasy talent and opportunity IMO. In terms of general player evaluation and talent I always look to see who Polian drafts. I have been disappointed in his RB selections though, just from a fantasy production point of view. Other up and coming talent evaluators who don's get enough press is Martin Mayhew in Detroit and Mark Dominick and Raheem Morris in Tampa. I think Andy Reed does a good job with RB's, and Pittsburg and Baltimore do a great job with the big uglies on both sides of the ball.
