If The NFL Is A Copycat League.... (1 Viewer)

Is there really another player like him? Not skill-set wise, but being able to have this much of an impact above and beyond his given physical skill-set. You can argue Cam can run and throw better than Tebow, but he'll be the first to tell you he's the best player on his team with "Diamond sounded by rough" syndrome while Tebow will turn rough into diamonds, literally the ultimate team player/leader.

The NFL is a copycat league in the sense that successful strategies are copied. The Broncos have a very good defense and they could be a much better team with a better quarterback. No one needs to copy Tebow when QBs like Rodgers, Brady, Brees etc. have proven to be so much better.

Yeah, because every team can get a player like Brees, Brady, Rogers. Thing is there's only 3-4 of those in the world and there's 32 teams. When you can't get one of those QBs, you need another option, and players like Tebow open up a new type of player to look for to help teams contend. You can argue Luck might turn out to be one like that, but unless you're the Colts, you're not getting Luck. Tebow could open the door for a new type of QBs to be given a chance to succeed in the NFL.

Like Tebow opened the door for Cam? Wait no. Talent trumps preconceived notions and dual threat quarterbacks have existed for years. Besides, it's not like Tebow has had an inordinate amount of success anyways.
