If the Pats or Colts go 16-0, but lose in the playoffs... (1 Viewer)

Miami went 14-0 in the regular season, plus 3-0 in the playoffs. That is a perfect SEASON.

But all anyone talks about is having a perfect regular season. Seems to me it's all a fart in the wind unless they finish the deal.

a whole bunch of crap.

if they go undefeated it will mean MORE.

winning a super bowl happens every year.

last time a team went perfect in the regular season was the 1972 dolphins...you know how i know that?

because everyone knows that...

who knows who won the the 1971 super bowl or the 1973 super bowl?

but we all know who went undefeated in 1972.

Everyone? :goodposting:

No. It would probably be the greatest postseason choke job of all time, though.
 It's almost too bad they play each other next week. It would have been more fun to see 2 undefeated teams play in the AFC Championship game. And then lose in the Super Bowl to the Lions. (Hey, I'm dreaming anyway...)

The Commish has done so many good things in his short time in office so far.Now if he could seed the playoff teams like they do in the NCAA hoops tourney so Indy and N.E. can meet in the Super Bowl. :goodposting:

There is not a team that can beat the pats in the NFC. that is for sure

For Patriots-haters, an undefeated season followed up by a playoff choke job would be kinda perfect. Every time their undefeated season would be brought up, it would always be followed by a giant BUT....

I think if they go 16-0, they go 19-0.

I do. Dallas won in 1971(over the Dolphins) and in 1973 the Dolphins (over the Vikings). This made the Dolphins the first team to go to three straight Super Bowls.Didn't have to look it up, and am not a Dolphins fan.

This will be the next major wave of improvements in professional sports...playoff seeding without regard to conference.

It would be considered a perfect regular season, yes.

In their eyes and their fans eyes it would not be considered a perfect season because that will include winning the SB.

The perfect season for me:

Pats go undefeated in the regular season, then lose to Dallas in the Superbowl.
