if You need a RB...Julius Jones (1 Viewer)

Heard it on ESPN Radio that the Saints will probably give a heavy dose of Julius Jones today. He is better than Ladelll Betts, and with the other weapons there could be some value from the waiver wire.

What do you guys think?

If I missed it posted because I was in a hurry...please delete or merge.

I think if I were faced with starting Jones this week I'd probably cancel my ffl team and take up knitting or underwater basket weaving.

But thanks for the heads up.

Why the hate in here guys? In my league there are no decent RB's on the waiver wire. If you have injuries and need a guy this is quality info. It's much more helpful than hearing everyone's opinions on top 10 WR's going forward or a subjective post on who's gonna blow up. This is real info and what we should be looking for on a Sunday morning. Thanks.

posts like these are non-value added. i'd much rather hear about people's first ever draft pick or how to out-scam paypal on a sunday morning, sorry.oh and i better add this so i don't get banned again. :boxing:

No hate in my post. I thanked him for the info. Also noted that if you're faced with Jones then you've got deeper issues...

I highly doubt this, the guy just doesnt know enough of the playbook to be out there ahead of Betts and Ivory this soon

That's my take too. I don't think he's a better third-down RB than Betts and I don't believe he runs with more power than Ivory. Anything can happen obviously but I think it'll be the Betts and Ivory show again today unless one or both of them stink it up royally. I think Jones could get some carries but I still expect Betts and Ivory to share the majority of them.

I'm sure he'll just do what he did in Seattle. Run straight ahead in to the back of your line and fall down. He'll mix it up every couple of downs with a fumble.

:goodposting: I agree with this. I just don't see them getting a guy in who doesn't know the playbook coming in and getting a majority of the reps. If anything, this is RBBC nightmare.

So at 4-1 with Benson, McFadden, and JStew not available, should I pack it in for the season or look to the waiver wire, o great sage of FF.Actually had to pick up Betts and start him despite this possible development.

Actually, you should get bent out of shape because I had the audacity to make a joke.

If somebody had roster space, you could take a chance and beat someone to the waiver wire next week w/ a simple add/drop (at least in my league)

Ya Never know. Brandon Lloyd is a leading FF WR!

He doesnt look bad but it is rather obvious by watching this game that Ivory is the guy atleast until PT is healthy and even then I see Ivory getting some action so PT doesnt break down again. I think they will waive Jones when Bush returns.
