Just for the fun of it who would your top ten be if you were drafting today? Curious where everyone has there top 10 at this point from the beginning of the season.

Mine for non ppr would be:

1.A.Foster

2.R.Rice

3.D.Mac

4.ADP

5.Mccoy

6.Forte

7.Calvin

8.Rodgers

9.Brady

10.MJD

Its actually not that far off where I would rank alot of guys preseason. The guy who has moved up my board the most would be Forte. Calvin would be next. The only qb I thought was first round caliber was Rodgers but I would put Brady in that category as well.

Whos your top 10?

Peterson

Rice

Rodgers

Forte

Brady

DMac

Calvin

Foster

CJ2K

McCoy

Jackson

CJ2K still top 10? I wouldn't reach that far.
Drafting today? Absolutely. He looked much better last week and Hass is passing well enough that teams won't be able to keep stacking the box indefinitely. I would be very surprised if he isn't a top 7 FF back the rest of the way.

PPR

1. Ray Rice

2. Darren Mcfadden

3. Lesean McCoy

4. Calvin Johnson

5. Arian Foster

6. Matt Forte

7. Adrian Peterson

8. Wes Welker

9. Fred Jackson

10. Aaron Rodgers

1) Tom Brady - Honestly...how can it not be. Knowing what I know now about how brady is playing this year if I could go back id be NUTS to not take him as #1 overall if I had the chance. Also, their defense is putridx, which ensures that Brady will keep throwing it all season long. last week might prove to be his worst statistical week all season.

2) Ray Rice - no words needed. He is finally getting the TD's. A real shot to be the #1 fantasy RB this year.

3) D. Mcfadden - an man amongst boys. easily can interchange him and Rice. Rice gets the #2 nod bc he plays on a better offense with a better qb and better defense.

4) Welker - No explanation needed. Puts up pts better than any RB thus far.

5) AP - He is healthy, and still a beast. His production even with mcnabb sucking is encouraging bc ponder will take the reigns soon and they will use AP even more.

6) Foster - Sketpical with that hammy, but he looks like he is back.

7) Arodg - easily mid 1st round consideration. He put up 68 pts in my dynasty ppr league last sunday. thats just bananas.

8) Forte - He IS chicago's offense and is a stud.

9) L. McCoy - Elite option in any format. Vick or no vick...but vick's presence helps clear the field for him.

10) Megatron - andother man amongst boys...unstoppable.

Honorable mentions that just missed the cut: 1) Vick - bc well he is Vick and last week showed why he is a 1st rd talent eveb with the risk. 2) Newton - The next coming of Vick...but better and more consistent. 3) FJax - an undervalued stud4) Steve Smith (Car) - wowsers

Depends on scoring format but for 10-team 1 QB 2 RB 3 WR 1 TE 1 PK 1 Def, standard scoring w/6 pts per passing TD and 0.5 PPR, I'd go:

1. Rice

2. Rodgers

3. Brady

4. Calvin

5. DMC

6. McCoy

7. Foster

8. Welker

9. AP

10. Super Cam

I have a QB bias, I know. That's how I play.

I think I thought it was redrafting the beginning of the season.

I still would put CJ2K around 11-15 either way. There are 5 RB's I would take ahead of him (ADP, Foster, Rice, DMac, McCoy and 3 I would equate him to (Forte, Matthews and Fred Jackson). With 2QBs and 2WRs in there, the space fills up.

Latent talent, top 5. Early lack of production concerns me a bit.

I can't believe no one has mentioned Matthews yet. His ADP would definitely be in the top 10.

1. Darren McFadden

2. Ray Rice

3. Arian Foster

4. LeSean McCoy

5. Matt Forte

6. Calvin Johnson

7. Ryan Matthews

8. Wes Welker

9. Aaron Rodgers

10. Tom Brady

11. Freddy Jackson

12. Chris Johnson

There's your first round.

You forgot ADP! I also like Matthews but just could not fit him into my top 10. I thought you could make a case for F.Jax,Matthews, and CJ3 being top 10. Welker would be for sure in my top 7 or so for the year in ppr. Non ppr I think rbs rule.

I'll slide Peterson between Foster and McCoy. Bye, Bye Chris Johnson.

If I was doing a top 10 for ppr It would like this. The guy I was really low on in this bunch is Forte. I had alot of chances to draft him in ppr and non ppr leagues and for some reason was not buying. Obv was not pegging Welker as a top 10player but you know hes golden as a ppr wr 2.

I was going to post so no one has the cujones to put Newton in their top 10 yet but you did. In my league thats 4pt passing TDs, he actually has more pts than Brady and 5 less than Rodgers despite his clunker in the monsoon a couple weeks back

Honestly, I feel like only Brady, Welker and Calvin are worth taking if you weren't going for a RB in the first round. I think there is enough of a difference between them and the rest of the players at their positions and they are in positions to sustain their dominance. After the top tier of RBs, it gets a little dicey depending on them as must start studs. Perhaps Fred Jackson and MJD could make the list but I don't trust Wells as elite yet, Chris Johnson doesn't look like a sure thing, don't believe in Turner/Blount that much, and Best is hit or miss. I feel there are more talented QBs in the draft than initially thought so there is no reason to take 2 in the first round. The other WRs are solid up to WR10 I think. After that it gets more dicey but still, elite RBs are more coveted more than everything else.

Just a nitpick, but I own Brady & would trade him for Rodgers (redraft, 6 pt/any TD, -2 pts/Int) in a heart beat.

These lists look good to me.

Looks like Welker, Fred Jackson, Forte and Brady jumped into first round consideration from their preseason rankings.

McFadden, Calvin Johnson and McCoy moved up within the first round and filled in the spots Mendenhall, Andre Johnson and Charles had preseason.

Additional thoughts:

Foster looks ready to climb to number one again, if he gets his injury behind him.

It would take a whole season of average play for Chris Johnson to fall out of the top 10.

MJD, Mathews would be likely candidates to replace Brady and Rodgers if you do not believe in drafting a qb in the first two rounds - Cam Newton might be the rule buster for that belief come next year's draft.

I would have Rodgers as one of the top picks in the next round. I think it's really personal preference. I kind of feel like the patriots will be throwing more than last game and Rodgers insane game last week caught him up. The GB defense is better IMO and the Patriots will just be in positions where they need to throw more often. I prefer yardage to TDs and in that respect, Brady is ahead. Now that I think about it, I'd probably put Brady behind Welker and Calvin and that would put Rodgers and Brady within a few spots of each other.

Having Forte that low in a ppr is shameful. You should feel ashamed for posting that.

What no Reggie Bush in the top 10 ? After week 1 he was headed for Canton I thought.

When forming these lists I'm assuming we are talking about leagues that start 1QB and some combination of 4-6 RBs & WRs. If that's the case then drafting a QB in the first round is probably not the best strategy.

Sure the trio of Brady, Rodgers, and Newton are all producing at a phenomenal but fairly comparable rate. However, there are three of them as well as enough quality options (Vick, Brees, Rivers, Stafford, Fitzpatrick, Romo) out there that you won't get left in the dust if you pass on them.

However, positional scarcity at RB and the upper tier of WRs could doom your team if you bypass them.

 In my league one of the two 4-0 teams started with Brady at 1.04 and followed with Welker a few rounds later. I'm the other team at 4=0, after drafting Rice at 1.7 and following up with McFadden. The byes will likely kill me this week though. Brady/Welker look unstoppable.
