If you were forced to punt a position for the week (1 Viewer)

Not sure if this is an AC forum topic or not, if so, by all means move it.

Just curious in a ppr (which seems to be the norm these days) league if you were forced to forfeit a position due to injuries and byes which of the three would you choose?

I think it is AC but mods job to move things .... BUT why is this even legal in your league?

You can start a player on a bye and get a 0 for that position. Yes, if you do not have a full "starting roster" your team would get zero points.

I have no problem with it in shallow leagues. I've seen leagues with just 3 bench spots, and it would be stupid to force someone to cut one of their starters just because they own 3 players who share the same bye and a fourth player comes down with an injury. I nearly started Tampa's defense in one league this week, because it's a performance scoring league, and I was convinced my other defenses (Washington and Buffalo) were about to throw up big negative scores, and there were no other defenses on the wire. Luckily, I managed to work out a trade, but our league rules simply say that you have to make a good-faith effort to win, so I thought taking a zero would improve my chances, I'd be justified in doing so.

I'd say kicker or defense. Kicker seems very volatile this year and even the potent offenses have had some terrible weeks for their kickers. Defense in a deep league or a deep defense where you are afraid the D might bring you negative numbers. I'm in a league where about the bottom 10 defenses are on the WW so there would definitely be weeks you are looking at some bad match ups.

I actually had to do it for my TE slot this past week. I have Aaron Hernandez & then traded for Witten while he was out. Because we have short benches (5 players total and I have Tate to handcuff Foster) And since Witten was on a Bye, I just rolled with Hernandez hoping that there was a chance he played... might burn me though.

but as a position in general, I'd have to say TE:

K = will guarantee at least a few pts

DST = similar to above, almost a sure thing to get 2+ pts

TE = I have Pitta in 1 of my leagues and he's gotten me a total of like 2pts over the last 2 weeks total...

Are there any leagues where you can not have a player in a slot (IE Special Teams?)

I play in an ESPN league and want to pick up a player off waivers but my only droppable piece is D/ST.
